Is Johto The Forgotten Region?

People constantly praise the Johto remakes so I don’t think it has been forgotten by the fans.

It's not that it was forgotten by the fans, but the developers as they made more games. It was geographically forgotten.

Yes, what I meant is it wasn’t forgotten by fans at least. In the past 10 years hoenn and sinnoh got their remakes (logically since they where next in line), kanto got some games again, Sinnoh got one extra game with Legends and new gens (8 & 9). Plus pokemon Snap, Pokken Tournament and Pokemon Go. None of it related to Johto. A lot has happened though, maybe johto will get something later on.

I hope we get to see some core series games for Johto. Maybe Pokemon Legends Arceus style happening in Johto? Last time Johto appeared was in 2009.
I wouldn't mind first Johto game then BW. Especially since I think BW remake would happen post Gen 10.
So i can see Johto games happening 2024 or maybe even 2025 if Gen 10 comes in 2026( 30th anniversary for Pokemon).

I think we are heading to another Johto game soon, considering we have seen a lot of Johto love since Gen 6. I would be so disappointed if we are not. On a personal note, i am excited to see this much interest in this conversation, and I hope it continues!
