Is there still a chance that some Generation VIII Pokémon will appear in the anime?

Analyzing the latest generations, I see that less and less this has been happening. In Best Wishes we had Helioptile, Gogoat and Noivern. In Kalos, we only had Magearna. In Alola, we would have the chance to have Meltan, until he debuts in a main game of Generation VII. And now, is there any possibility of some final form of some initial Pokémon from Generation VIII or even some of the recently revealed Pokémon (such as Corviknight or Yamper) appearing in the final saga of the Sun & Moon or in the M22?

I'm pretty sure that Meltan is supposed to be the special Mystical Legendary Pokemon of the seventh generation. Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee are still main series games after all.

I don't think that they'll showcase a new Pokemon in the upcoming movie, but I could see them appearing during the last stretch of SM. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for some new character with some new Pokemon to randomly appear.

Okay maybe a small chance, but I think we'd probably have known by now if a Galar Pokemon was gonna make an appearance in SuMo since that would probably be hyped weeks in advance to get fans excited.

There's always a chance, up till the last episode.

Seeing the Rotomdex is staying in the games we might as well see both series more closely tied together than what XY&Z did towards the end, especially if its anime counterpart stays as well.
