Is your favorite starter the first one you ever picked?

This post is inspired by a comment I that I read on r/pokemon that said that it seemed like most people's favorite starter was the one they first ever picked in their Pokemon playing career. I was just wondering how true that is here on BMGf.

Nope. My first ever starter was Squirtle but my favorite is definitely Rowlet.

Same here. My first starter was Piplup, and while I still like it a lot, it is neither my favorite starter nor even my favorite Sinnoh starter. Those honors go to Treecko and Turtwig respectively.

No, but I still like it a lot. My favorite starter is Squirtle and my first starter was Mudkip.

I guess? I started out with the Squirtle Squad back in the day.

I dunno, none of the starters really grab me so I'd probably go with Squirtle just out of nostalgia bias. (Unless we're counting Pikachu & Eevee as "Starters" in which case I'd go with Eevee.)

Nope. My first starter was Pikachu in Yellow, then I think Bulbasaur in Blue if we're only counting ones actually chosen. Neither is my favorite or even in my top 5. Oshawott is probably my favorite, even though the gen it comes from is one of my least favorites lol.

No, my first starter was Bulbasaur in Red, though I still like it a lot and it's one of my top favorites in it's generation. My top favorite starter(s) out of the group is a tie between Torchic and Scorbunny.

at the time my favorite Pokemon was Persian....

for starters, my favorites on based on animals I love... so Fennekin and Litten are my favorite starters, are from the most recent generations

Oh, that's a hard one to be honest and one I never really gave any thoughts.

My first ever starter was Charmander but I'm not sure if I would classify it as my favorite since Totodile, Mudkip and Oshawott also exist and I find it hard to pick one over the other cause of the sentimental value. (Feels a bit like picking a favorite child, you know?)

Yes, my very first choice was Bulbasaur and it's still my favorite starter.

No. My 1st starter Pokemon was Cyndaquil but it wasn't my favorite at the time since I liked Charmander and Chikorita more; I just never picked Chikorita at that point because I knew it was weak.

No. My first starter was Bulbasaur but it's not my favorite (though it is my favorite of the Kanto starters). That honor goes to Torchic.

No. Mudkip was my first starter, but Oshawott is my bae.

No. Chimchar was my first Pokémon, but Piplup is my favorite.

It depends whether we're talking about just the unevolved starters, or their whole evolutionary lines. My first ever Pokemon was Cyndaquil and its evolutionary line is still my favourite overall, with Typhlosion being my all-time favourite Pokemon. However my favourite unevolved form of a starter is probably Turtwig or Rowlet.

I like Piplup the best, but it wasn't my first starter.

The first starter I had was Treecko, who is probably my second favorite. So it's not my first choice, but it's pretty darn close.

It depends where we are talking about.

Are we talking about base stages or the whole line in particular. If its base stage, its yes with Squirtle. If its fully evolved mons, then no, since its Primarina.

My first ever starter was Charmander (which I gave up and restarted the game after getting destroyed in Brock's gym) but my favorite starter is a tie between Piplup and Froakie.

No. My first starter was Tepig, and my favorite is probably Snivy. Tepig's up there, though.
