It has the same VA, it's the same Dragonite, this isn't the dub where Pokemon species are voiced only by one voice actor, because that makes any sense (sarcasm by the way). The only exception is probably Pikachu, and Ash's Snivy (because it was female).
Even if it's the same one, it's still doesn't make it confirmed of capture.

And you like ignoring what is solid deduction that there is actual basis for in favor of baseless hearsay.
"It's confirmed to be captured" is not a deduction or argument, it's a claim.
"It's still not confirmed to be captured" is not baseless hearsay, it's a fact.

You literally were shooting down even the possibility of it being captured even when there is a basis for that as being the most likely result. That’s when you got into baseless hearsay.

I'm not doing anything as such. I think it's pretty likely that Gou or Satoshi will catch it. It doesn't mean it's confirmed to be captured yet.

Really? Claiming that something is confirmed (despite of it being not confirmed) is exactly what led to baseless hearsay. :bulbaFacepalm:

Maybe they Dragonair they help evolves that episode? Isn't the whole point of the island is that it's a place where Dragonairs become Dragonites?

hearsay

NOUN
information received from other people that one cannot adequately substantiate

This anime has had that a capture happens in every episode, the Dragonite that appears in a future episode has the same VA as the one in this episode which, as the Japanese version has had indicates it’s the same Pokémon and the episode is set at Sakuragi’s lab where all of the newly caught Pokémon are stored. All of these things point more towards it being caught than for it to just randomly show up there because reasons.

Now if you can give a better reason why it’d be there go ahead and present your argument in favor of what you believe rather than sitting there being outright dismissive of a capture in spite of your own claim that there’s a good chance that it is.

Go could just let Dragonite tour the world and come visit every now and then
Everything we’ve seen about Go and his behaviour suggests that Dragonite is getting a one way ticket to Sakuragi's lab if it gets captured, with maybe occasional appearances if it’s lucky. You may argue how humane, or good the habitat is but so far Go hasn’t made an exception to sending a Pokémon there.

And how does one explain a beginning trainer catching a fully evolved pseudo legendary without battling it (since Go would forgo battling or lose horribly if he does so)?

Simple. Dragonite is just weak. Because only legendaries and mythicalls are strong, every other Pokemon species are so weak they can be caught with a single chuck, or they have one member of their species which is super weak and Gou just always happens to fight that one in a million!
(Sarcasm)
