Fascinating...The official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel's thumbnail image for the preview includes a shot not seen in the preview itself.
Knowing this series, unfortunately likely cause Goh and all his dumb reasoning behind catching Mew thinks he needs one of everything, including variations. There was a Trapinch in the preview, odds of Goh catching the entire Flygon line?

Doubtful as they seem to have (thankfully) moved him past the prospect of having a living dex as he realized that evolving Pokémon also fills the dex. There was a Trapinch in the preview, odds of Goh catching the entire Flygon line?

Honestly, that may just be the lesser of 2 evils when you compare it to the redundancy of Go catching every different stage of every Pokémon. It was a terrible sequence to watch when they did it with the Kanto bugs and I doubt that such a thing could be made anything more than dull doing such a thing again. Not including stone-based or trade evolutions, which he could easily do, he would actually have to train a bunch of his Pokémon for them to actually evolve. I don’t think people would be happy if a bunch of Goh’s Pokémon that aren’t normally in his rotation evolved after one or two battles, unless we get a Sakuragi Park training episode that features a lot of his Pokémon bulking up. Theoretically, they have to have at least some experience prior to being captured since they had to fight for their survival, and some of them do fight each other at Sakuragi Park so they would be gaining experience, but still.
Still not a fan of them just rapidly “leveling up” Go’s team like they’ve been doing especially this early on. Past characters had to actually work for their strong Pokémon while Go is just handed them on a silver platter. Compare that to Ash when he was a rookie trainer, he got Charizard quickly but suffered consequences of Charizard being disobedient because of its strength and Ash’s inexperience. Go on the other hand hasn’t had to deal with any kinds of issues with all his Pokémon being perfect little angels towards him. Even when it seemed like he had an issue with Raboot, it was quickly just glossed over to be a misunderstanding. On top of that, he really hasn’t suffered any real kind of struggles as a trainer. He’s honestly starting to feel a bit like a writer’s pet.Goh is going to catch a Flygon. I saw it in the JP Opening.
A bit? He's definitely a full on writer's pet... far more than Lana was ever in fact. At least Lana was a side character for the most part and not a supposed protagonist given cheaply written shortcuts without having to put in effort and struggle for their dream. He’s honestly starting to feel a bit like a writer’s pet.

Nice
It’s beautiful.
It’s beautiful.
Looks like Faba.
I always keep on forgetting that Flygon actually has eyes under there.
Not me. I'm excited for this mainly because it has an actual follow-up to the Bea battle of 34.Pretty sure most people will only watch this episode for JN037's preview now.
