It’s a little soon to say that it’s taking place in Pewter City. All it says is that they’ve been sent by the curator to research rare fossils. I’m not saying it’s Galar, but they have been sent somewhere to look for fossils, they haven’t been called to his location.

Sounds like the episode may open with the Petwer Museum, or simply a phone call with the curator, however "sent" implies they probably will head to Galar for the fossil hunting. The fact that Koharu is present in both fossil episodes is a curious detail (assuming the previous episode doesn't solidify her as a research fellow), I'm assuming she will have an important role to play here. Perhaps she and Guo will find one half-fossil each and accidentally combine them somehow.

The fact that Chloe is traveling here makes me think the Eevee episode is where she properly joins the main cast to travel the world with Ash and Goh.

I'll be surprised if we go back to Galar this quickly after the Darkest Day arc, but I'll be even more annoyed if this episode takes place in Pewter City. Please let it be the former.

The Galar fossil Pokémon are...definitely interesting looking. Seeing them in the anime is gonna be...something.

But hey, if Chloe's tagging along I can forgive most things

Its nice to see some continuity in the series with the Curator from JN038 reappearing here, hopefully its just a request from his acknowledging their work before and asking them to go to Galar and not fossils found in Kanto of all places

I don't think Satoshi is gonna catch Uonoragon beacuse he doesn't have one in the poster. It will probably be caught by Go like Ptara in the only Journeys episode I forgot existed. This is probably another pewter episode because that weird Moustache Guy will appear. THEY ARE JUST CLONING JN038. I WANT SARUNORI NOT THIS JN038 WANNA BE!!!

Episode 38 was written by him and it was a pretty decent episode so I don't know why some people are so worried.

We got Koharu going along with the boys, Go actually getting a somewhat deserved capture and showing empathy as well as seeing Pewter Museum for the first time in the anime.

Anyways back to this, it seems we are back in Galar already and getting Cara Liss' debut to go with it.

He tends to ignore game mechanics (e.g. Electroweb working on ground type Pokemon multiple times since SM in episodes that he worked on)

He loves using repetition as a gag (Jokes are repeated multiple times in a single episode)

So I am fully expecting the phrase "Gatchanko!" or "Stick'Em Together" to be repeated multiple times in this upcoming episode, as well as bonus points for "Romance!!!" appearing again.
