I probably should have clarified that the asshats mocking him in these stories weren’t the champions, but the overall public that kept comparing him to them.

Maybe if Bede was incorporated into the show? In the games he acts even more arrogant than Blue, so I could very easily see him mock Ash's title of Alola Champion as not being legit. Not sure about any other characters, though.

Man, this episode promises the whole 9 yards. All I’ll say before it airs is that I really hope the quanity of content doesn’t ruin the episode’s pacing. See you all in the review thread.
