But isn't that from the Farfetch'd capture episode? Farfetch'd was just looking for strong opponents to battle, so Riolu and Farfetch'd weren't really battling for the purpose of training in that episode

I think the episode will have a DP flashback, with both Dawn and Brock included this time.

I hope more of Dawn's Pokemon are shown in the Matori Battle. Maybe Mamoswine because it evolved in a Cresselia episode too
