Okay, debates about which Pokemon will get which KOs and whether Ash or Raihan wins aside, can we all at least appreciate that Ash's lineup of choice is actually the most efficient one he could've made for this battle? Especially since there have been complaints of Ash handicapping himself with his choices in certain battles (Bea and Drasna being the big ones): Dragonite is one of the toughest Journeys mons and it makes sense to use your strongest Dragon-type against a Dragon specialist who routinely trades blows with the World Champion; Gengar has both a Fairy-type attack and an Ice-type attack on his moveset, both of which hit Dragon-types super effectively; and Lucario is a Fighting/Steel-type, with the former type giving him an advantage over Raihan's ace and the latter granting him a resistance to Dragon-type attacks.

Yeah, this was definitely the best team he could put together for Raihan.

Some detective work on frames on discord suggest that the sad Ash is from the Alola episode. So if Kukui has gone heel or something so.....HAAAA

Stop cheering for losses like this is Sevens

I could see one more loss here with how many episodes are probably left.

If he's in Scarlet/Violet he'll probably lose at least a few times in it. His big winning streak at the end of Alola didn't stop him from having some defeats in JN, even to some Rockets.
Mmmmm........maybe. But don't forget, he was severely handicapping himself against those Rockets and for the other losses too, especially Bea, by using a literally newly-hatched Pokemon and one that didn't have much battle experience yet at the time (Farfetch'd, against Bea.) If he had used Dragonite against any of them, he would've whupped them easy.

The Chinese leaker says the battle plays out like this:

Gengar (Gigantamax) VS Flygon (Gengar wins)
Gengar VS Goodra (Goodra wins)
Dragonite VS Goodra (Draw)
Lucario VS Duraludon (Lucario wins)

Is this the same.person that leaked the Serena return episode and her outfit?

I feel Deja vu from this, did this exact thing happen before? Person posts their prediction on how a journey's fight will go, someone posts it here thinking it was a leak, then someone posts a photo of a twitter comment thinking the same thing and the og poster replys saying its just a prediction.

Many people wanted Greninja to return, and that is what's happening. Many people over the internet are happy over this episode.
There are some, me included, that would prefer either it rejoining or getting sent to the Ranch.

Both outcomes are fine, the former is still better, the vine thing is such a flimsy excuse.

Though, having the mentorship become recurrent is the best one.

I apologise, got so focused on addressing that issue that I forgot.....

Back on track, a single episode for this battle.

Now I think that Kibana was always intended to be a minor nuisance in the PWC's run.
