The two of them have been waging a seesaw battle since the very start, but as the battle continues on, Satoshi finds himself getting more and more toyed with by Dande's Pokémon and strategies...?! He eventually manages to really latch on to Dande as he switches Pokémon, but that turned out to be part of Dande's plan as well......?!

It doesn't in the games, it stays as a mega till the match ends or it faints. The anime hasn't had this scenario happen yet where a mega is recalled but the way it is utilizing a lot of game mechanics recently, I think this will too

I’m just hoping that they give Dragonite a nice win here. She really deserves it after how much the writers have had her on a losing streak.
