OMG I'm probably asking a bit too much from this show but that'd be so awesome, I'm looking forward to all these possible character connections in any case. Misty and Cilan was a duo that never even crossed my mind despite certainly having things in common.

It's probably a safe assumption that Ash can get his Alola mons from Prof. Kukui the same way he gets his other mons from Prof. Oak.

It seems that Misty will get her revenge for Totodile here.

I think the Totodile situation was handled a bit better as she even got a poliwhirl out of the deal. In this however, it looks like she’s straight up trying to steal his catch from the preview.
