It all begins with a roll of the dice. A pair of hard cubes of ivory clicking against a wooden board. They flip over once, twice, and then land.

The first player begins to reach for their piece, only to find that it had moved before their hand reached it. They all listened to the scraping noise as they watched the obsidian simian slowly slide forward five tiles, before coming to rest menacingly atop a square white as a rhino's horn.
As they stare, the formerly blank crystal ball in the center of the board comes to life, with a poem appearing on its top. The players lean in, as if mesmerized by the game.

Don't be fooled, it isn't thunder.
Staying put would be a blunder.

For a moment, they all sit still, watching the board in disbelief. That moment passed, however, when the ground began to shake...
