Leak Repository Thread (WARNING: Huge spoilers!)

Seeing as how we're in July and it doesn't seem like all of the stuff mentioned in the leak will be revealed for a while, I can't stop wondering how the leaker had access to so much lol. I was under the impression that he maybe just saw the first two news drops or something, but damn. It feels like that leak covers like a solid 50% of the game

Bea comes from BeA-trice or BeA-trix. There is no Double E in either names, meaning Bee doesn't make sense and as such is a wrong pronoun.
Its either Baya or Be-a.

Its the same problem as lets say Quay. People use the word Key, while the pronoun is wrong. QU-AY.

It's just weird cause I know some Bea's that pronounce their names like that

It's "BEE-uh-TRICKS/BEE-uh-TRISS"
or "BAY-uh-TRICKS/BAY-uh-TRISS"
Both pronunciations are common parlance.

And the nickname "Bea" is pronounced as either
"BAY-uh"
or "BEE".

"Quay" is indeed pronounced as "KEE." It comes from the French "quai" which is pronounced "KAY."

This....is a rather silly conversation. I’m sure there is someone out there in this big wide world of ours who pronounces it Bee, Bee-Uh, or Bay-uh. No one is wrong. You’re just gonna have to wait for the anime or a guidebook to get the official pronunciation.

EDIT: I should say that I guess the conversation itself isn’t silly as much as it is to say that any one pronunciation is “incorrect” or “more correct” than another.

I pronounce it "Bee-uh" because in beatrix/beatrice, isn't it pronounced "bee-uh"? So to keep the A there, but pronounce it differently would be...I dunno.

Eevee

Double E

BeA - No double E so the Bee pronoun is wrong.

Its really simple if you understand it.
Common parlance (and, when it comes to names, self-identification) drives what makes a pronunciation correct. If someone tells you that their name is "Bea" and pronounces it like Bee, you're not in the right to tell them that they're pronouncing their own name wrong. There are people who pronounce their own name, spelled 'B-e-a', as the same as "bee," therefor both pronunciations are correct, and your insistence that there's only one possible pronunciation is wrong.

It's really simple if you understand it.

No matter.

BA Baracus from the A-Team is pronounced BEE-A, which doesn't have the E.
Beheeyem - You still say BeeHeeyem, even without the Double E in it. However, with the second, you also Hee, the same way you say Bee, only this time its Double E, not Beheayem. Its still the same sound, even without the B because of the E.
Eevee - not Eevea
All of them are pronouced with the Long EE sound
With Bea, you cannot do it because of the A behind it.
BE - A (Beee - A)
The-A (Theee-A)
The-O (Theee O)

You don't say THEEEE without mentioning the A or the O.

So yes, the Bee pronoun is wrong seeing the Thea and Theo names being pronounced with the A and the O.

The Right Pronounce is BEEEHH (The sound a Sheep makes) A. Its a Soft B Pronoun, not a Hard B Pronoun.

Even though I definitely think it's "bee-uh"....Like Treant said, Tea, Sea, and Pea are pronounced like "ee" and they don't have double e. Your argument is not quite sound.

Problem is, neither do the names Theo and Thea. You still say the A or O last. Same with Leo, another three letter word that is pronounced with the O at the end and not as LEEEE.

Leonard - LeONard.
Beatrice - BeAtrice

You see the problem. People say Lennard, but there is an O, not a Double N, so the Lennard Pronoun is wrong when you say Leo or Leon, because you cannot say LeO or LeOn if you say Lennard, since then its LEEE or LEN without prounouncing the Obvious O in the name.
Same with Beatrice. Their isn't a Double E. It isn't a short word either. Beetrice. Where is the double EE. Its BeAtrice (Like BA Baracus) BEEE-A or if we go with the Soft B sound its Be(Sheepsound) A. If we go off the name The-A there always have to be place and A behind an E if its in the names.
You can't make Sea, Tea, or Pea longer without changing the Pronoun. You can do so with Leonard and Beatrice, which makes Lennard and Beetrice pronouns incorrect, since its twisting letters that aren't there.
People say Theo without twisting words (Despite the Obvious THEEEEE sound), while Theo is short for The(Stretch it)-O-Dore. Its the same as Be(Stretch it)-A-Trice.
Going off different names with the same words that can be stretched, pronouncing Bea as Bee is incorrect, since then you have to do it with every name.

Please stop doubling down. You're only digging a hole and hurting yourself. Not only does pronunciation not work that way, but your reasoning that Proper Nouns can't have different pronunciation rules is also easily destroyed by names like 'Deacon (DEE-cun)', 'Brea (BREE)', 'Ashlea (ASH-lee)', and 'Easter (EE-ster)'.
