It's apparently from the game guide.

These seem fake to me. Why does the person refuse to show the pokemon above Kingler. Why do none of the gameplay photo's show the pokemon. This isn't like the leaks from earlier today. They can very much be faked.

Because Hop would have Pokèmon with two typings, so it's already here to signal that they don't have a second one.
It'd be really weird to hide the second typing in a guide.

It's just what they do. I'm flipping through the USUM guide rn and it does the same thing. Pokémon displays are all in a uniform box template which has two slots for types. Just a weird formatting decision.
