Wasted great opporunities:

Rillaboom, could see its vine hairs moving its drum and beeing part rock or steel to fit the drummer motive?

Cinderace, still think the yellow motives stilll fit with electric, would work well as electric rabbit footballer and fighter, those running electric rabbits from the advertisment commercial with battries Durex come into mind here, would be so perfect.

Inteleon , the hands would be perfect for poison or ghost, seriously a spy without poison or ghost protocol?

Cufant and Cupperjah , steel, hmmm here fire comes into mind... normal/ dark/ electric?

Falinks wasted oportunity for fighting/bug or fighting/steel here, seriously....

Grapploct fighting/water or fighting/poison ... realy even ghost/fighting squid would fit here better then pure fighting again....

Dubwool? normal/steel? could have worked? would be cool.

Siliconda and Sandracondra? ground/grass, ground/psychic, this one should have been ground/ghost

Hatterene, psychic/poison, poison/fairy , psychic/ghost or fairy/ghost would realy fit with witch motive

Eldegos, grass/ghost... could be.

Indeedee looks mor fairy/dark then psychic/normal... should type change not only form change

Sirfetched could have been part flying and the Farfeth'd line could have stayed how it was... fighting/flying would actually be good with not many flying moves or make it normal/fighting?

The fossils would be cooler if they would form change during battle because of weather, like electric terrain, sandstorm, hail and rain should work

Thieful and Nicket? dark? dark/normal or dark/psychic or dark/steel would be much better here...

now G-max? Kingler? where type change? where Galar ghost/water or something form? seriously?

Electox/Toxicity??? maybe physical and special sweep changes via using a move?
One could inflict maybe poison and one paralysis? or it changes depending on weather? the new weather condition with electric terrain and rain comes into mind?

where is a new electric/flying ice/flying and ice/dragon type??? come on here... ice/ghost? come on... even that Mr.Mime as ice.ghost would be better...

Cramorant could have been easy a ice/flying with the same ability...

Hope they get good abilities and mosets this time... was a little disapointed with Yamper and Corviknight abilities....

If in the second games are other "new" pokemon then version exclusive will be perfect.

The final Pokedex number is extremely underwhelming... I expected at least 500/600 for the final count. Especially given we're almost at 1,000 in total. But even 450 would be better than 400 as it's pretty much equal to half of the entire Nat Dex.

Also, I've recently been playing Stadium 2 again and it actually shocks me how Pokemon seem to have more individual move animations back then in the late 90s than what we STILL get in a 2019 main game lmao. I know GF didn't make it (not sure anw but assume so), and if their still set on their "We had to make a cut/compromise so as to better animate the Pokemon we wanted to keep in" ect or w/e... I still have not seen a justified answer as to why it happened when a hell of a lot of battle animations or just general model animations look tired, if not the same as gen 6-7.

Have you seen how Persian uses Shadow Ball for example in Stadium 2? It builds up the ball around it's mouth and hits it's paw to throw the shadow ball. THAT is fabulous and it's from an N64 game.

Another example would be how the camera moves around the battlefield in Stadium 2, it STILL looks better in the bigger picture than SwSh to me.

I'm not trying to nitpick and I'm over dexit but there are obvious things that don't garner a justified excuse on their part anymore imo.

It looks like that both Zacian and Zamazenta also have two forms, their bare and armored forms. This could tie into the story on how you can help them achieve their armored forms. cough mystical metal found in the woods cough

This completes the trio with Eternatus nicely.

I think I'm gonna run off before the story spoilers start coming in, all I really wanted was the Pokemon. But I really like what we saw and really can't wait for the games. And while I think GF could have released more (the starters especially, people need time to warm up to those), finding them in leaks and freaking out was somehow more fun than SM where most stuff was already known, so there's that.

Honestly still kinda sad that I won't be getting a new Eeveelution... I wonder if it's true that Sylveon is the last one, at least for a long while. But hey, the even gen rule is now broken, so maybe next gen...? I can hope.

As for the dex number and that controversy... I admit I expected a little more in numbers, but it's fine. My only real issue is Charizard being the only non-Galar starter line to make it in, it seems. I know any Pokemon I like that didn't make it this time will be in later and probably wouldn't be used in SWSH anyway, tbh. That said, with that number I do wonder if we're even going to see all the Pokemon in gen 8 at least once or if some people will have to wait until gen 9 to transfer their Pokemon up. That would kinda suck.

Anyway, still no clear confirmation whether the apple-dragon is a split-evo or not. And we still don't know how the two forms of Toxtricity work either, do we?

evolution or pernament form change via move? maybe they lost armor thanks to Eternatus? it's part poison? interesting... a poison move with corrosion or that poisons always a oponent via G-max move anyone?
