Question, I know this maybe off topic, but where can I find staff who's responsible for the edits in Bulbapedia's website?

Anyways, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone say alternate forms and regionals were the same (which they aren’t), so oof.
I would say regionals are a type of alternate forms.

So boy I'm hoping for once we have a Rotom-tutor that can teach Rotoms moves of their element. I.e., flamethrower, scald.

Then we can open up having other regional pokemon like regional-flowers, i.e., red, blue, purple, and yellow flowers of different 2ndary typings.

Alternate Formes usually require something in game to trigger the change (e.g Meloetta using Relic Song, Keldeo learning Secret Sword), and Regional Variants don’t really...you know, have anything that can do that, so I don’t consider them the same as alternate formes.

Deerling, Vivillion, Basculin, Shellos, Pumpkaboo, Flabebe...they all have alternate forms without a way to change.

Also, the Pokedex does treat regional forms the same as alternate ones.

Those are all temporary alternate forms. Regional variants along with some non-regionals are permanent alternate forms.

How would people feel about a regional variant that acted similar to Shellos or Basculin? For example, what if regular version of a Pokemon was found in one half of Galar and a regional variant was found in the other half?

I would be fine with that. In fact, they can potentially do so with Flabebe. Some Forms only appear in Kalos, while other forms only appear in Galar.

Crap, forgot about those. Sorry.:(
