No, it's not a uniquely Japanese problem. It wouldn't take long to find allegedly foreign characters in English-language media who just ... aren't. And by that same token, foreign settings that are a rather silly theme-park

It doesn't help that a lot of these settings are, for live-action movies, filmed somewhere in the U.S. This can make it to where the theme-park aspects are pretty much there to distract you from the fact the mountains you're looking at are in California.

According to this bottle of Jack Daniels I just finished, Mewthree is definitely going to exist! It'll be a Psychic/Dark type that mega-evolves to be a pure metal type and the Mewthree-only Z-move "Atomic Wedgie." But whenever it faints, mega-evolution or not, the entire staff of Game Freak appear and take turns slapping the player, dealing 1 damage per attack to the next Pokemon in line. Each slap has a 30-minute long, unskippable attack animation and they don't stop until all of the player's Pokemon have fainted.

And you have to encounter it as part of the storyline, but catching it has the same effect as fainting it. Oh and there's a 2/3 chance of it wiping your save file, your nnid and all your Switch data if you try to rest during the slap animation.

Also it will have 255 Atk and Special Atk, but 1 HP, Def and Special Def.

Some of it sounds pretty dumb, but it would be pretty cool to have a region based on Britain (as long as it doesn't just focus on boring london). Plus it having a link to Kalos would be great. Having both Kanto and Johto in gen 2 was amazing and I've been wanting another Pokemon game that incorporates multiple regions ever since. Having two regions based on countries that are so close is the perfect chance to do it again!

I really would like to see a totally ice oriented tundra region based on Norway , Alaska, Syberia, Artic , Himalaya with many mountains , rivers and a frozen see.
A region for interesting new ice types.

Imagine bear water/fighting starter, grass/steel or grass/ice puma, fire/fairy pan/goat creature

Or a region totally oriented on hot sandy desert, safaries, with low amount of water mixed with oasises and some swamps imagine what fantastic fire/grass pokemon could we get.
Powerfull Ice pokemon could come out by night when the temperature falls below 0 or moving with sandstorms.

Starters could be a grass/rock or steel rhino, rather rock beacuse of the fire types,
water/poison hippo or water/bug spideror water/ghost elephant ,
fire/poison snake ,
fire/steel minotaur(Roman gladiator) would be well though of.

We need a starter mammal only region for once.

Its to early for good news, but maybe its a fake leak, to see what we think of it.

But if they would create really something based on Britain, then rather Solgaleo and Lunala are hinting a return to puere wild Africa motive, where some British colonies where in the past, the same goes for the Ultra "Beasts".

If they are on the colonial root then maybe more Roman motives? they were in Brytain and Africa too.

If thats the case then we will get a hot, sandy, sfari, based region with maybe a sea, a river like in Egipt and some swamp or oasises that change with the year.
