Let's Go calculations

Do the Let's Go games use the calculations from Gen 7 or are they specific for that game?

It depends on what you mean. There hasn't been much research on this, though.

Catching: They're obviously closer to Go in this regard.
Damage calculation: I'd wager that the only difference from SM is the tweaks to a few moves.
Experience gain: I don't know if the gain formula is based on flat version from the early generations or the scaled one from Generation V/VII (I suspect it's the former). There are a bunch of new bonus multipliers, though.
Stat calculation: AVs change things quite a bit, but they can be disabled in multiplayer battles.
