It "links" two accounts so that you may easily switch between the two at any time.
Since having more than one account is not allowed on the forums, the only real use that this feature has is using it for sockpuppets for events such as the Halloween Parties.

And some RPs. However, we've yet to get those and if you do try that without the staff's express permission, you'll get the same stuff as someone having two accounts for the heck of it.
