After a while, I woke and wandered around the house. I found Jer's note, and continued my explorations. I sat-down near the fire again, and something caught my eye. It was under the couch. Curious, I crawled across the floor and wiggled under the couch until I grabbed the object. Once I was back by the fire with my blanket, I took a closer look at my find.
I flipped through it, fascinated. After a while, I drifted back to sleep, the sketchbook on my lap, Giraffe in the crook of my arm, and the note in my hand.
When I came back home I had two plastic bags with me which I put down on the kitchen table. Then I went to the fridge rummaging around to try and find a can of Mt.Dew.
"Hm... out of Mt.Dew. Seriously though Rea. For the last week we've either. Napped, had sex, there was that hour or so of us fighting monsters, the thirty minutes of target practice which just led to us having sex, and then we spent a some time yesterday on our computers... Ok so not just napping, but we do it a lot."
"Ooooh!" I hopped off the counter and skittered over to him. "Show me, show me, show me!" I knew I was probably seeming childish, but I couldn't help it. New things -objects and/or experiences- always captivated me.
I pulled about twelve classic disney movie's on DvD out of one of the bags.
"Many things I feel you've missed out on. Then we have..."
I also pulled out popcorn from the same bag. Then from the second bag I pulled out ice cream, chocolate syrup, candies of all sorts, and box of cookies.
"I feel like having movie night, so we're gonna have sundaes for desert."
I put the ice cream in the freezer, and then went back to the now empty bags.
"Last thing..."
I put my hands behind me, and something appeared in them. Then I held it out in front of me. it was a framed version of that old picture I gave Ellie.
"You'd be amazed how hard it is to recreate a picture from memory like this."
