LT Weekly Poll #8 - Do you still play the older generations?

Welcome to the eigth installment in the Lost Tower Forum's new weekly series of polls!

Centered around the older installments of the Pokemon series of video games, these polls will be based on the various different aspects of the popular video game franchise. Every Monday, a Video Games staff member will post a new poll that'll remained stickied up on top of the forum. Suggestions for polls and questions can be sent to Joshawott, and they could possibly used for new polls (credit will be given, of course).

With that out of the way, here is the poll: Do you still play the old games?. Now we're in the fifth generation, do you still go back to playing the first four - even though are remakes of the first two generations?

I still play a little of the Gen IV games, in fact I'm yet to finish Diamond and Platinum and I got them over a year ago...>_> and I am proceeding through a flying type mono run on Sapphire...I forgot there was an electric type gym, so things are going rather...slowly...

I keep going back to play the Gen III games just to raise a Gardevoir and meet Steven XDD

Although not as often as Gen III, I still sometimes play the Gen IV games. For the Battle Factory XDD

Play the Gen III games fairly often, more so than I've played Black and White since they've been out.

Also play Platinum a bit, because I love the Team Galactic plot.

I'm playing yellow on comp just not that often beaten my emerald but doing some things then I'm planning on giving it to a friend so he can play it. My heartgold I'm still playing because I am going for the national dex and it is almost full (only 3 more!)

Only IV, as it is the only one I still have. All the others either died or were broken.

I still play HeartGold, but often switch to the White card because I have a ton of fun with that.

I sometimes play the fourth Generation or FireRed/LeafGreen but I cant play through the second generation because all those games are dead, so I make due with Soul Silver.

 

[Infinity Mk-II]

All of them! Admittedly, I don't play Red much, but I enjoy playing Crystal and still consider it a very polished game even on today's standards. I also play Heart Gold often too as I haven't even cleared the battle frontier.

But what I play the most is Gen. III, generally because it's the easiest to mess around with, but also I play Emerald the most often. I play it more often than Black.

i actually dont play the older generations if we are talking in games.... becuz my gaemboy is broken no more batteries, the charger is gone....

All of them except Gen III - I can't find any of my Gen III games for some reason.

All of them! Although the only one I've kept my save file on is HGSS.

I still play Pokemon Yellow and occasionally HG/SS/PL, but that's usually only for the Poke Transfer.

I play Gen 4 for the things BW are missing. I probably wont stop playing Gen4.

I play gen IV, and III. Not much of II, actually none since I traded in my GameBoy Advance.

I still play Pokemon Blue and Yellow on Pokemon Stadium occasionally, as well as Ruby, Sapphire, Platinum and HeartGold. I can't play my Gen II games since the batteries have run dry.

I still play RBY (in fact I played it on the train the day before last), probably out of nostalgia, though Yellow is arguably much better than even some of the more modern ones IMO. I don't play GSC, mostly out of bitterness over the lack of backwards compatibility and partly because of HGSS. I still play 4th and 3rd gen occasionally, though I use RS mostly for Nuzlocke these days.

Yes, I still play generation IV games for completing the national Pokédex in Black version and I still play Emerald, Crystal and Blue versions which are games of each older generation.

Go Gen III! It was personally my favorite, especially FireRed/LeafGreen, when it was so easy to train my Pokemon. But ever since my file corrupted, I have been discouraged to play.
