D*mn you Corocoro

Last years we have recieved a new trailer on Oha Suta in the last week of february, so fingers crossed this year will be the same.

Well, if nothing else, we can probably assume that the current title won't be changed. Typically, CoroCoro just announces a mythical in February and adds it to the title. Without something like that this year, they may have nothing to reveal that a trailer wouldn't do better.

Trailers are usually (always?) released in early March. Last year wasn't an exception.

Nnnnonnnnnnnnooooooooooooooo
how can they expect us to wait another 333333333 weeeeeeeeeeks?!

How come slot machines are banned from the games but allowed for marketing purposes in real life?!

Something tells me it's to do with how it's a Japan-only part of the promotion. They certainly won't repeat it over here - European laws would have Game Freak's head!

Does anyone have a translation for the above image that Silktree linked? I'm curious as to what it actually says.

I agree with it being a Japan-only thing. I can't see them bringing that state-side (at least not in my part of the U.S., anyways).

I hope that Ash's Pikachu will still get distributed. I haven't played the games but I would feel bummed for everyone else who does and wanted it.

I'm not entirely sure about other states, but Alabama has this thing about gambling. They've shut down quite a few places. I imagine they would see something like that as promoting the very thing they're against.

I could be wrong though.

I live in New Jersey and we have casinos that are failing.

To tell you the truth, there's a 100% chance that the toy will never go into the US because, 1) parents will explode with rage with the thing, 2) many people that is mostly parents will say that it encourage kids to gamble, 3) gambling is already illegal in some states.

You should already know how crazy this country is.

Yeah...

I can't wait until we get some new info on this movie! I've checked this thread almost everyday for about a month to see if anything new was added. I think I enjoy the months leading up to a movie more than the movies themselves.

CoroCoro, literally announcing f all since something, something. Now we must wait for actual info.

I thought you were talking about the movie not getting a theatrical release in the US. I think it very well could after Go's success. We're getting a separate live action movie about Detective Pikachu, after all.

I couldn't care less about the toy. Most merchandise stays in Japan, especially of the movie-related kind.

Me, I think the lack of news in Coro-Coro at least means they aren't writing the plot around a Legendary or Mythical for a distribution event.

Though that's just my (idiotic) guess.

It's a reasonable assumption supported by the lack of news.

I honestly hope I Choose You gets a theatrical release (and I don't mean a limited run, I mean an actual proper release). I mean the Kanto series has a deeply huge fanbase and since the film will be based off that series, this'll no doubt get a few fans attention.

A new theater audience will come to know and loathe TPCi's dub music for Movie 20 then, I suppose, can't wait for some more good ol' opera & ballet.

I would love this. A friend and I went to see Victini and Zekrom in theaters, though that was only a two day limited release. It was so much fun to see a Pokémon film in theaters again, even though by that point the movies themselves weren't really good. To be honest, though, I think I actually liked that movie more because I got to watch it in a real movie theater. I get too distracted watching them on TV at home...I got halfway through the last movie before stopping and didn't pick it up again for another 2 weeks or so.
