In Japanese, it's denji hou, which is still two words.

I know Japanese. Your argument is invalid.

In Japanese, it's denji hou, which is still two words.

If it's not spaced, it's not two separate words, the same way "sidewalk" is made of two words but is treated as a single noun because the two have merged.

You're not the only one who speaks a second language, by the way (though in my case, I'm actually fluent in both), and the kanji/hanzai/hanja/whatever is read as "전자포" in Korean, which is a direct translation, and consists of "전자" (electromagnetic) and "포" (cannon/shot), but is still treated as a single word, see?

Using Korean in an argument about Japanese? Oy. I don't believe 'electromagneticcannon" is really one word, anyway.
