Oh shnap!
Nintendo to Announce a New Game Tomorrow – Pokemon? (February 21st, 2012)

BTW Bulbanews, if you're going to use our translations, please provide credit. You originally linked to the UK Nintendo Magazine for this news story, which linked to us as the source of the translations. You then removed the source link. So yeah, give credit where credit is due (AAPF for finding the news, us for translating it).

Come oooooon third version! This will be a time of great celebrations, or an instance of fantastic trolling on Masuda's part.

The link has been changed to PokeBeach now.
While I whole heartedly apologize for that, the link to the source was never removed (you can check the "history" of the article).

The guy who submitted the draft, added the Nintendo link and we forgot to check, for that, I am sorry.

Either it will just say that the reveal will come later, reveal the game right away or troll us with ''Shiny Lv.1 Bidoof distribution next Sunday!''.

Oh god another torturous Nintendo Direct? After the last two, I just won't believe anything till after I see or hear anything about it. Screw rumors, screw the 3rd coincidental week of Pokemon and this being together again.

Ok, so I do love the idea of a third B/W version, but why does everybody keep saying "Oh, we're gonna have a new Kyurem form/e." Maybe the game won't be focused on Kyurem. Maybe it'll be focused on the Musketeers trio and Keldeo, kinda like what they did in Crystal with Suicune.

I'm not really sure what to think of this... I think he might have just said that to get more viewers on the show.

20% chance he will straight out confirm pokemon gr(e/a)y for the 3ds
20% chance he will confirm gr(e/a)y for the ds <--- my least favorite scenario
20% chance he shows us the alternate form for kyurem
40% chance he does something unpredictable.

My favourite scenario is your least favourite, I really hope Gray is on regular DS, not 3DS, I was one of the first to get 3DS and found out, its really crap, IMO.

...And then everyone fell to the floor when a Pokemon Colosseum/Gale of Darkness-like game was announced for the Wii! /shot repeatedly in the foot with marshmallows :(

I honestly think this is the most likely scenario. This Nobunga Animation game is an unwanted distraction, I hope it's not something to do with that.

Unlikely, Suicune was a one off because there was no 3rd counterpart to Ho-oh and Suicune. As with RSE and DPP they will probably replace the individual dragon with Kyurem and make both available at a later point in the game. Also we already have programming in BW for the God Stone which is likely the object that turns Kyurem into it's new forme, like the Griseous Orb. There is nothing to suggest Keldeo will be the mascot/star of the 3rd game, unless your saying you thought Shaymin was a possible Mascot for the 3rd game of Sinnoh.

I hope it's RSE remakes or mystery dungeon

Ok this is my worst case scenario, not the bit about RSE (even though I wasn't a fan of RSE) but mystery dungeon??? REALLY??? Pokemon ranger was good, I still have yet to get the 3rd one, ooh that reminds me, to Amazon.

I think he might have just said that to get more viewers on the show.

This is what I was thinking, we are all logically assuming that he was meant the question would be answered in Pokemon Sunday.
But actually all he did was promote Pokemon Sunday, sorry to nitpick, he didnt explicitly say "Your question will be answered in Pokemon Smash on Sunday" It was just a "I recommend you watch it," he could easily troll us and say, I was just recomending you watch this good tv show, didn't mean anything would be revealed.

He may have been dodging the question, turning the question he can't answer into a promotion for another show. Masuda would make a great politician.

Re: Masuda urges fans to watch Pokémon Smash! this Sunday: Possible new game details

If Masuda says it, it's probably related to the main series in some way...whether that means new games or new event Pokemon, I don't know.

Granted, Masuda has tweeted about Pokemon X Nobunaga's Ambition, so sadly, anything is possible with this.

Yeah, I hate to be pessimistic but I expect nothing. Masuda has known to troll with us before, so ... :/

Am I the only one hoping that it'll be something like this? Because honestly, news like that would be epic.

I'm thinking it'll be a reveal of Kyurem's new forme, but who knows. We'll know when it happens.

I agree with Keldeo94 about the mascot of the 3rd Unova version but @Keldeo94 do you mean Ho-oh and Lugia? Ho-oh and Lugia were not part of a trio with a 3rd Pokémon like the Dragon trios but they were mascots of the legendary bird and beast trios respectively. Suicune was chosen because it was part of the only legendary trio introduced in generation II.

I also like the idea of a Wii game like the Orre region games and I think generation V needs a Pokémon Battle Simulation game soon. I think it is most likely something about Kyurem's new forme or Grey version.
