Story Event: Melancholy Wally
Melancholy Wally, as the name suggests, Wally as he tries to recruit team members for a battle tournament on Pasio, only to suffer rejection from fellow Gardevoir Trainer Diantha. While participating in event battles, players will be able to earn Prize Coins, which must be used to unlock each part of the event's story from the event's Prize Box. The grand prizes for each Prize Box include area info for event story areas, 5★ Scout Tickets, 3★ and 4★ Power-Up items, Skill Spheres, and a Tech Move Candy Coin. Players can also obtain Gems and Event Medals for completing special missions during the event. All rewards can be claimed even if players have previously completed the event during its original run between September 28th and October 17th, 2022.
- Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir: +60% (x1.6) bonus rewards
- Wally & Gallade, Diantha & Gardevoir: +40% (x1.4) bonus rewards
- All other Fairy-type sync pairs: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards
Players should also note the following when playing this event:
- The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PDT).
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- Leftover Prize Coin items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.
In conjunction with the re-run of Melancholy Wally, 5★ Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir are making their return to Pokémon Masters EX in a limited-time Poké Fair Scout. As with a typical Poké Fair Scout, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing, with the featured sync pair having a higher chance of being scouted.
Sygna Suit Wally & Gardevoir are a Fair-exclusive 5★ Fairy-type Tech sync pair with an expanded sync grid, and the ability to Mega Evolve. Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX raises the sync pair's stats, and gives Wally a predominately white outfit with green highlights, evoking the appearance of a regular Gardevoir.
