Night 0: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Scores of Rocket Grunts, equipped with many scientific doodads, gadgets, and sensors, stood in Silph Co's most advanced laboratory as interdimensional portals were opened by the beleaguered Scientists. As each portal opened, a group of Grunts entered it.
In another lab, portals were opened and teams of Grunts would exit. Some looked disheveled, others looked disgruntled, others seemed unscathed. Scientists cataloged the outgoing Grunts and the incoming Grunts.

Sitting comfortably in his office, Giovanni smiled smugly at the sight. Each portal led to a new world, a new dimension and a new reality that he could exploit. The Grunts acted as his advanced team of operatives and would scout out each universe for potentially useful assets. Once an asset was identified, Giovanni's Scientists would isolate that universe and extract the asset. This process was very efficient, but could sometimes lead to disastrous results.

For example, opening a portal to Universe 345420 resulted in his Grunts arriving in a very bizarre universe where everything appeared to be warped. It was impossible to enter any buildings, and there were strange creatures floating around that exuded an aura that seemed to duplicate everything that they encountered. At first, Giovanni had considered using those creatures to duplicate his resources. After all, one could never have too many Rare Candies or Master Balls. However, his Grunts' attempts to capture one of the creatures resulted in horrible disfigurations of their Pokemon. At the end of the day, the Rocket Boss was forced to not only abandon the quest to capture the strange glitchy creature, but to also exile the Grunts to that universe, for fear that the corruption caused by the creature would spread and, literally, crash reality.

Most of the time, though, the Grunts would have good news for him. They would locate the strongest and evilest people in the other universes and report their strength to the Scientists. In fact, this time, a few of the Grunt teams reported encountering extremely powerful, and corrupt, leaders of villainous organizations from the universes they had visited.
One team had been discovered almost instantly, as the ruler of that universe had noticed a blight in his otherwise perfect universe. They had been forced to flee before the might of him and his Ace Pokemon.
Another group had managed to explore their assigned universe before someone reported them for possessing Pokemon, which was outlawed. Though the Grunts managed to take on the first wave of resistance, soon enough, they attracted the attention of that universe's leader, who showed up with his Ace Pokemon and nearly wiped out the entire squad by freezing them. Only one Grunt had escaped.
One group came back completely drenched, while another group looked like they had been baked to a cinder.
Other groups reported their findings to the Scientists, who, in turn, turned over their reports and analysis based on the readings taken from the Grunts' equipment. Giovanni would then decide which reports were worth following up on and which would be discarded.

The Rocket Boss looked over they day's reports, gazing over the charts, diagrams, and testimony from the Grunts, and smiled. Now here were a few key individuals who could help with his takeover of all of reality. Unlike the previous group of losers he'd picked up, these were much more powerful, and could easily crush any resistance they encountered.

Now, Giovanni was no fool. He was aware that associations with extremely powerful allies, especially ones who were particularly ruthless, could result in a doublecross and end with him at their mercy, but he was, after all, a very cautious fellow. Not only did he analyze his new potential allies' strengths, he also assessed their motives and their weaknesses. Being the one to initiate the associated put him in the power seat and gave him the advantage. He gave his Scientists very specific instructions, and, within a few days, they had sufficiently prepared.

The Rocket Scientists opened up interdimensional portals and ripped the powerful villains from their realities and into Giovanni's dimension.
The Rocket Boss stood there, spotless in his most iconic business suit with a big multicolored "R" on the left lapel.
As the shocked villains emerged, Giovanni smiled and extended his hand.
"Gentlemen," he said, smiling wickedly, "I have a business proposition for you."

    Day 1

  • View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-m1r_ZaLF4

Day 1: Feeling A Little Blue

Blue Oak sighed wearily. It had only been a month since Team Rainbow Rocket had emerged, seemingly from nowhere, and conquered the world, but it felt like an eternity. The Rocket Boss had him and his assistants working virtually non-stop in his Pallet Town Lab performing research and experiments on Pokemon. Cruel experiments. Today they would be testing out modifications to the Rocket's evolutionary radio signal. Devon Corporation in Hoenn had been tasked with making the upgrades, and it was now supposed to be more efficient and boost the Pokemon's power significantly, but forcing Pokemon to evolve was a painful process. Blue always felt sick to his stomach watching the expressions of agony on his test subjects' faces.

But even that wasn't the worst part. After the forced evolutions, the Pokemon were put into brutal cage matches and forced to battle each other to the death. The ever present Rocket Grunts, who supervised Blue's work, took great joy in gambling on the outcome of the fights. In the end, only one Pokemon would remain alive, and it was that Pokemon which would have the honor of being used by Team Rainbow Rocket.

Naturally, Blue had considered resisting, but he realized that it would be a futile, and fatal, endeavor. Though at one time he had been a formidable Trainer, and had even taken on the Elite Four, he had been unable to defeat the unbeatable Champion, his grandfather Samuel Oak. As a favor to his Gramps, he had temporarily taken over as the Viridian City Gym Leader after the previous leader, an older man named Silver, had decided to step down so he could explore the world and search for Moltres. However, Blue had quickly gotten bored and gave the job to a girl named Leaf, who was the only Challenger to ever defeat him, and he went on to pursue his true passion of being a Pokemon researcher, becoming a world renowned Professor in just a few short years.

Champion Samuel Oak, along with the other regional Champions and the Elite Four, had battled against Giovanni and his allies. The strongest Trainers in the world, and they were battered aside like they were insignificant. The following day, in a live television broadcast seen around the world, the Champions were all summarily executed by the Rockets. In an announcement following the executions, Giovanni declared that owning Pokemon was illegal, and his Rocket Grunts flooded the world confiscating Trainers' Pokemon.

At first, Gym Leaders tried resisting, but they were overwhelmed and forced to either join Team Rainbow Rocket or die. Many, including Leaf, chose to die, but some, including Kanto's own Sabrina and Blaine, chose to join. Even then, cooperating individuals were only allowed to keep a single Pokemon, to discourage resistance. Blue himself only had one Pokemon, his Pidgeot, which was mostly used for transportation.

A Rocket Grunt approached Blue as he concluded the day's experiments.
"You're wanted at HQ," she said, "the Admin would like to discuss your latest test results."
Professor Oak shuddered. He hated dealing with the Admin, an odious man named Faba who pretended to be a big shot Scientist, but was actually just an arrogant fool.

Blue departed from his Lab immediately, leaving his aides to clean up. He flew to Saffron City on his Pidgeot, and arrived at Silph Co. HQ. He walked through the impressive front doors, flanked by Rocket Grunts, and took the elevator to the 10th floor. Stepping out of the lift, he walked toward the Admin's office. A strange glow was coming from under the door. Curious, the former Gym Leader glanced around to make sure no Grunts were watching and peeked through the door.

Faba stood with his back to the door facing a swirling vortex. A shadowy figure loomed in the vortex and was speaking.
"...results have been unacceptable," the figure was saying in what Blue immediately recognized as Giovanni's voice, "other universes are outputting specimens at a much faster rate than yours."
Faba shrank back, as if struck.
    "W-well, you see," he stammered.
"Spare me your excuses!" thundered Giovanni, "I want to see an increase in your output, or I will have you terminated!"
The vortex shrank and disappeared leaving a disgruntled Faba muttering platitudes to empty air.

Blue closed the door quickly and took several steps back, processing what he had just seen and overheard. The strange vortex. "Other universes." So that was how Team Rainbow Rocket had been able to take over the world so easily. They were invading from other universes and had the resources from all of them.

He barely paid attention as Faba beckoned him into his office and began berating him for his lack of productivity. A time/space portal! An actual means of traveling between different universes. Amazing. If only he could get his hands on the schematics, then he could level the playing field.

His musings were cut off by a large Explosion emanating from one of the research facilities on the lower floors. Immediately, Faba's video phone rang. He accepted the call with an annoyed sigh. A disheveled Scientist covered in soot appeared on the screen. More Explosions could be overheard in the background.
"What 's happening?" demanded the Admin.
"We're not sure," admitted the Scientist, wiping soot off her forehead, "all of a sudden, the Electrodes powering the machines suddenly started Exploding. We could really use your help to corral them, seeing as how none of us have Pokemon."
"Fine," snapped Faba, "I'll be down immediately."
He stood up and walked to his office door. As an afterthought, he turned to Blue.
"We're done here," he said coldly, "you may go."
With that, Faba departed, leaving Blue alone in the office.

The former Gym Leader glanced around the room to make sure it wasn't under surveillance, which, of course, it was not, since Faba was a trusted and loyal Rainbow Rocket Admin. Quickly, he stood up and strode over to Faba's desk. Luckily, the Admin had been in such a rush to leave that he hadn't logged out of his computer. Blue searched the PC for "temporal portal," and was taken to an encrypted file of the schematics. Fortunately, Faba was arrogant enough that Blue was able to guess his password immediately. The Pokemon Professor pulled out a flash drive, which he always kept on him for digital storage of his experiment results, and downloaded the schematics.

That night, Professor Oak covertly reached out to a few of his colleagues using their Underground network and sent them the blueprints for the portal.
Dr. Fuji, formerly a Rocket Scientist, but who defected after a particularly nasty experiment killed his entire research team, and currently employed at Silph Co.
Joseph Stone, the previous President of Devon Corporation prior to the Rocket takeover. His son, Steven, had been killed by the Rockets along with the other regional Champions.
Sirius, the head of Galactic Enterprises, based out of Sinnoh. Though young, he was extremely intelligent. His wife, Cynthia, had been killed by the Rockets along with the other regional Champions.

Each of these men had a reason to despise Team Rainbow Rocket, but none of them had the means to oppose them, until now.
"This will be quite some undertaking," said Dr. Fuji, shaking his head.
"Especially since we'll need to prevent the Rockets from finding out what we're up to," added Stone, "if they find out what we're up to, they'll execute us for sure."
"True," concurred Sirius, "but the risk is worth it. Those Rockets have caused nothing but pain and suffering since their arrival. Who knows what untold devastation they're causing in other universes."
    Blue nodded.
"Exactly," he said, "this isn't just about us. This is about the entirely of creation. Team Rainbow Rocket has caused a blight, and for all we know, we're the only ones who have the means of fixing it."
"Very well," said Fuji, "I can acquire the components to build the molecular stabilizer here at Silph Co."
"I can fabricate the frame and the power supply here at Devon," noted the former Devon President.
"It just so happens that I have the means to put together the time/space wormhole generator," stated Sirius.
"...why would you have that?" asked Blue, raising an eyebrow.
    Sirius shrugged.
"I was planning on building a reality bomb," he said, casually.
    The other three blanched.
"Well, at the time it seemed like the only way to stop the Rockets," he muttered.

Working together, in secrecy, Blue, Dr. Fuji, Ex-President Stone, and Sirius managed to assemble the temporal portal a month later.
Under the premise of wanting to visit Devon to examine their work on the Rocket's evolutionary radio signal, Professor Oak traveled to Rustboro City. He spent the day looking over facts and figures with the Devon Scientists under the watchful eyes of the new Devon President, Courtney, a purple haired emotionless woman with bizarre speech patterns. That night, instead of traveling back in the dark, Blue and Joseph went down into one of the basement floors of Devon.
The former President pushed against a particular bookcase, and it rotated inward, revealing a secret entrance.
"I had Roxanne hollow out an underground cavern for me," explained Stone, "nobody knows about this place except us."

The completed temporal portal generator sat gleaming in the dimly lit cave. A power generator provided electricity for the portal generator and several lamps.
"Are you sure about this?" asked Stone, looking over at Blue, "it's completely untested."
    The Professor nodded.
"We have no choice," he said, "I'm sure that, as soon as we fire up this baby, the Rockets will catch wind of it."
"Very well," he said, flipping the switch, "good luck!"

The lights dimmed as the portal generator crackled to life. A massive maelstrom blew as the fabric of time and space itself was rent asunder. The wormhole generator tore through the universes like a hot knife through butter, creating an unstable passageway through the multiverse. The molecular stabilizer sent out waves which stabilized the wormhole making it safe to travel through, in theory.
Blue stood in front of the portal, a look of determination in his eyes. As he stepped into the abyss he turned to look as Joseph Stone one last time.
"Well," he said, raising his hand in farewell, "smell you later!"

Night 1: Not The Bisharpest Tool In The Crayon Box

Back in his home universe, Giovanni sat back in his arm chair, content with his progress. It had only been two months, but his plan for complete domination of the multiverse was proceeding with only a few minor hitches. This time, things would finally be different. This time, he would succeed!

Suddenly, an alarm flashed on his PC. Priority Omega. Somebody in one of the conquered universes had opened an unauthorized temporal portal!
The Rainbow Rocket Boss checked the information. Universe 711825. Hoenn. Rustboro City. Devon Corporation.

The mafioso scowled. Now that could be a major problem if not squashed immediately. He called his associates over a secure connection.
"We have a problem," he said, "meet me at the Devon Corporation in Universe 711825."

Giovanni calibrated the portal generator for the specific location and reality, and opened up a portal.

Devon President Courtney was sitting at her desk in the ornate office at the top of the Devon Corporation Building. Suddenly, she heard the unmistakable howl of a temporal portal being opened.
The wormhole appeared at the far end of the room. Courtney was not unduly concerned. Occasionally, the Boss would make surprise calls to ensure that his Admins were behaving themselves. Her concern notched up significantly when Giovanni himself stepped through the temporal passageway and more portals opened up, revealing his associates.
"Leader," said the purple haired Admin, approaching the Team RR Boss reverently, "your arrival is unanticipated."
Giovanni glared at her, and she flinched.
    "Where is it?" he demanded.
"Where is what?" she asked, completely confused.
"Don't you dare lie to me!" snarled Giovanni, causing Courtney to shrink back into a corner of the room.
"I-I'm not," she proclaimed, "I have no idea what you're talking about!"
    The Rocket Boss sighed.
"Have it your way," he said, and tossed his Master Ball.
    Instantly, a Mewtwo appeared.
Courtney's eyes widened in terror as the powerful Psychic Pokemon's eyes glowed a blue. Mewtwo instantly breached her mental barriers, and all her thoughts were laid bare.
After a few moments of probing, Mewtwo turned to Giovanni and shook his head.
"What you seek is not here," the Pokemon said.
"Then where is it?!" demanded Giovanni, pounding a fist into the wall, "find it!"

Mewtwo's eyes glowed again, and he didn't respond for several agonizing minutes.
"There is a hidden basement," he said, "I am sensing a lifeform in there."
He focused for a few more moments.
"Unfortunately, with the temporal portal disrupting the time/space continuum, I dare not Teleport there." he said.

Giovanni and his allies rushed from the office, following the Psychic Pokemon, leaving Courtney crying in the corner of her office.

Blue Oak returned to his home universe, but he did not return empty handed. Several strong Pokemon Trainers emerged behind him. All with one purpose in mind. Defeat Giovanni and topple Team Rainbow Rocket once and for all! Whether they were motivated by anger, grief, or even just plain boredom, all of these stalwart Trainers had suffered at the hands of Team Rainbow Rocket and had leapt at the opportunity that Blue had offered them.
While he could have tried to recruit more allies, Blue realized that time was short. Opening the portal would have triggered an alert to Giovanni, and, due to being unfamiliar with how the temporal mechanics of the portal worked, Blue could not guarantee that he could return to exactly when he left.
The last thing he needed was to get ambushed by Giovanni and his partners as soon as he returned. Or for them to destroy the portal before he could return.

Joseph Stone greeted Blue warmly, even though it had only been a few moments since he'd left.
"Glad to see you back," said the ex-President, "I wasn't going to rest easy until you returned."
"Yeah," replied Blue, "the same thing occurred to me, too."
"I see you brought some friends," Joseph said, looking at the assembled Trainers.
"I'll introduce you all later," said Oak, hurriedly, "right now, we should focus on getting out of here as quickly as possible."
    "Agreed," said Stone, "lets--"

Before he could finish that thought, the secret entryway was frozen solid and shattered.
A gray dragon with icy looking wings appeared where the bookcase had been moments before.
"Well, well, well," called out a voice, as chilling as the ice generated by the dragon, "what do we have here?"
Another Pokemon emerged from the shadows, right underneath the portal generator, and engulfed it.
"That technology is illegal," stated another voice, semi-robotically, "incomplete beings such as yourselves should not be meddling with things beyond your comprehension."

As Giovanni and his partners descended into the secret cave, the Rocket Boss was actually, begrudgingly, impressed.
The first partner was a green haired man in black robes. One of his eyes was missing and had been replaced with a robotic implant that glowed sinisterly. He carried a walking stick with the rainbow R logo towards the top.
The second partner was a blue haired man in a gray vest and a black outfit that almost looked like a spacesuit. His vest had a rainbow R on the upper left side.

"I see that, on top of discovering the technology to travel between universes, you've also managed to gather quite the resistance," he said.
"That's right, old man!" said Blue, who was the first to recover from the shock of their adversaries' sudden arrival, "and you've saved us the time of tracking you down ourselves!"
"My, my, my," sighed the Rocket Boss, shaking his head, "such confidence. Do you really think that you'll be able to stop us with this ragtag group of nobodies that you've managed to assemble? Defeating you will be a simple task."
Giovanni reached out a hand and opened his mouth to issue a command to Mewtwo, but one of his associates put a hand on his shoulder.
Inwardly, Giovanni fumed at the man's insolence and awaited the day he could be disposed of.
"Hold on a second, Giovanni," said the one-eyed man, "it's been a while since we've had any form of challenge at all. I'm getting bored, so why don't we give them a sporting shot?"
"That is illogical," said the second ally, "we do not want to put our plans in jeopardy. We have the upper hand now. We should use it to our advantage and strike them down immediately."
"Nonsense!" scoffed the other ally, waving his walking stick, "these fools don't stand a chance against us in combat, we have nothing to fear from them! Giovanni certainly isn't afraid of this miserable group, right boss?"
The man smirked ever so slightly at his own cleverness. Now, if Giovanni were to refuse his request, it would be tantamount to admitting weakness.
Well aware of the fact that he was being goaded, Giovanni sighed.
"As you wish," he said, "but under one condition."
    "What's that?"
    Giovanni turned to his Pokemon.
"Mewtwo, erase their most recent memories!"

Immediately, the Psychic Pokemon's eyes glowed red. Blue and his allies slumped over, unable to resist the powerful Pokemon's mental assault.
"What did you do that for?!" demanded the man with the glowing eye.
"They'll still get a fair shot," replied the Rocket Boss, "but this way, we will not lose our advantage."
"An admirable compromise," said the second ally, "though I would have preferred to destroy them immediately."
"Patience, my friend," said the green haired man, smiling wickedly "this will be a lot more fun."
"Fun is illogical," said the blue haired man.
    Giovanni sighed inwardly.
This was going to be one of those days, wasn't it?

Blue awoke. All around him other people were waking up, too. He had a terrible headache. The last thing he remembered was that he was going to recruit allies to fight Giovanni. Everything after that was vague and fuzzy. As he slowly sat up, a dreadful memory broke through. Giovanni. He was here! But where? ...and why couldn't he remember who Giovanni's allies were...or who his own allies were.
It was all so very confusing, and, looking around, it seemed like everyone else was just as confused as he was.

Asking around, it appeared that they all had similar stories, and all were certain that Giovanni and his allies were among them, but nobody could remember who they were.
"What the heck happened?" wondered Professor Oak.

It didn't take long for the group to start accusing each other and turning on one another.
"I say you're our enemy," said a woman wearing an outfit made from leaves."
"...I am not," countered a masked man in blue and white robes.

An athletic girl with blonde hair roller skated around a chubby boy wearing sunglasses and a sports uniform.
"Hey, cut that out!" the boy shouted.
"Make me!" said the girl, sticking her tongue out.

All around him, scuffles were beginning to break out. What's worse, Blue couldn't even tell who his were his allies, and who were his enemies. Every time he tried to remember, a sharp bolt of pain seared across his forehead.
However, he did notice something very suspicious. While most of the other people were arguing with each other, one person sat alone on a ledge, looking down at everyone else. A slightly vampiric looking individual, he was wearing white robes with black trimming. He was muttering to himself, taking notes as he observed the chaos.
"Hmmmmm...well, do I want to bet on Giovanni or do I want to bet on his adversaries?"
He counted a sheaf of money as he pondered.

"You there!" shouted Blue, his voice rising above the din of the others' arguments, "what are you doing?"
Everyone stopped their bickering and started at the man in the white robes.
He glanced at them, mild amusement in his eyes.
"Don't mind me," he said, waving away their concern, "I'm just deciding on how much to wager on this little squabble."
"You're gambling on our lives?" said a man in a purple headband and wearing a purple and red scarf, "that's cold."
"If he's betting on this battle, it means he knows who's who," deduced a brown haired girl in a school uniform with a pink ribbon in her hair, "that would make him the enemy."

The others agreed, which made the man in white robes nervous.
"Now hold on," he said, waving his arms, "I'm just as ignorant as all of you. I was just looking to have a little fun. That's all."
    Nobody believed him.
He sighed and took out a Pokeball.
"Very well, you leave me no choice."

The man in the white robe sent out his Bisharp.
"I don't want to do this," he said, hesitantly.
"A Dark and Steel type?" sneered the girl on the roller skates, "lame! I can take care of this!"
    She sent out a Lucario.

"Bisharp, use Sucker Punch!" shouted the man in the white robes.

The pointy Pokemon took priority and punched the Lucario in the gut. Though the lupine Pokemon was slightly winded, the attack was barely effective.
"Our turn!" declared the girl on the skates, "Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

The Lucario charged up its aura and launched an attack at the Dark type Pokemon.
"Dodge it!" shouted the man in the robes, but it was no use. No matter where the Bisharp ran to, the attack followed her around until it connected.
Bisharp was blasted backwards by the force of the attack, and slammed into the cave wall, she collapsed, unable to battle any more.

"Now, now," said the man in white robes, as the group advanced on him, "let's not get hasty. You won, so I'm no longer a threat. Don't mind me. Just carry on as if I wasn't here."
"...sorry," said a gray haired man in a black uniform, "I cannot do that."
Immediately, the gray haired man snapped the other man's neck.
As he turned to face the other people, who were aghast at his actions, the dim light of the cave illuminated the scars on his face.
"Team Rainbow Rocket will pay for what they've done," he said, "no matter what."

    Bisharp, the Sword Blade Pokemon
It leads a group of Pawniard. Bisharp doesn't even change its expression when it deals the finishing blow to an opponent. No matter how strong the Bisharp, it's said that if the blade on its head is chipped, it will retire from its position as the boss.
A former member of a wealthy family that later fell into ruin, Grimsley ended up becoming addicted to gambling as a means to get his lost wealth back. A strong believer of results & skill over blind luck, he is often looking at new tactics to improve himself in both battle and while gambling, even if these tactics are underhanded or considered unfair, as long as he wins, what does it matter how he does it. Grimsley has recently discovered something rather interesting and he’s willing to be a lot of money on who the victor is, even if he needs to interfere to get that victory...

Because of your dirty tactics and unpredictability learnt from your trainer, under the guidance of your trainer, you are a Frontrunner & Jack of all Trades (aka JOAT). The purpose of a Frontrunner is that they pick a team (Town or Mafia) that they think will win on the first day, while a Jack of all Trades has several powers they can use only a limited number of times. Your JOAT powers are: 1x Cop, 1x Vigilante & 1x Doctor. A Cop can discover a player’s alignment, a Vigilante can kill another player, while a Doctor can prevent a player from dying at night. Each night you can use a power once by saying Cop Check: [Player] or Shoot: [Player] or Heal: [Player] for each role respectively in your Role PM during the Night Phase.

You are a Gambler (Independent) and win if the team that you pick wins. Your Mentor will win if you do.

They were the Frontrunner & Jack of all Trades (aka JOAT)
    Their mentor was FinalArcadia

    It is now Night 1

This phase will end in 24 hours Countdown

As a quick summary, Nights are the phases in mafia where players with an active role can use their powers. In order to use any power, please submit your action in your role pm, in the format stated in said pm. Mentors cannot submit the action for the player, only do suggestions.
Unlike some other mafia sites, you are still allowed to talk in this thread during any night phases.

    Day 2: Ghostbusted

After the grim fate of Unova's Dark type Elite 4 specialist, everyone was on edge. The man in the black uniform had cordoned off the exit, preventing anyone from leaving the cave.
"The villains are here somewhere," he said, "so nobody leaves until the investigation is over."
He indicated the tape he had used to seal off the exit.
"If anybody so much as touches this tape, it will set off an alarm," he explained, "anybody attempting to flee will be assumed guilty, and I will execute them, myself."
The others all muttered among themselves nervously, but nobody publicly challenged the scarred man's methods.

Though it was difficult to tell what time it was, being in a dark cave with no sunlight, the group was feeling particularly drowsy, so, one by one, they all drifted off to sleep. The last person to doze off was the scarred man in the black uniform...or so it appeared.

Three figures huddled together in the darkest area of the cave, plotting dastardly deeds.
After a few moments, Giovanni nodded, and the group set about their tasks.

The man in the gray vest and spacesuit sent out his Pokemon, a spectral dragon, who disappeared into the shadows and floated over to the man in the purple headband and scarf. Immediately, the Pokeball on the man's belt popped open, revealing a ghostly cat-like Pokemon, who sensed the lurking presence of the spectral dragon in the shadows and emerged to protect his Trainer.
The Gengar fired off a Shadow Ball, as the spectral dragon emerged from the shadows, only for the ghostly dragon to retreat into the shadows again.
The Gengar looked around nervously, waiting for the dragon to reappear. A dark shadowy wormhole opened up underneath the Gengar, and it was consumed by the shadows. When the darkness retreated, the Gengar had been knocked out, and the Trainer with the purple headband and scarf was dead.

The spectral dragon returned to the shadows, and went back to its Trainer., who had regrouped with his allies.
"Excellent work," said the blue haired man in the spacesuit, barely showing the slightest hint at a smile.

The spectral dragon was recalled, and Giovanni and his allies scattered among the other Trainers.

Before he actually drifted off to sleep, Giovanni almost smiled. His green haired ally was right. This was fun. Certainly more amusing than just immediately killing all of them on sight.

Meanwhile, from his perch in one of the shadowy corners of the cave, the green haired man's robotic eye gleamed mysteriously.
    "Soon," he thought, "soon..."

    Night 2: Getting Rocked

When everyone awoke the following morning, they discovered that Morty had been killed.

"Hmmmm..." mused the man in the black uniform, "who would have thought that the man named after death would have been the first person to die?"
A few of the other people didn't quite see eye to eye with his point of view.

"Someone has just died," said the woman wearing leaves, "please show a little decorum...or at least a little empathy."
"When you've seen as much death as I have, kid, it just doesn't phase you anymore," said the gray haired man with the scarred face.
The masked man in the blue and white robes nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Blue was examining the area for clues, but not having any luck.
"I can't figure out what killed him," said the Pokemon Professor.
The blue haired man in the gray vest walked over to help. He turned over a nearby rock and saw some red stains on it.
    He beckoned to Blue.
"Here," he said pointing to the rock, "perhaps this is the murder weapon?"
    Blue bit his lip thoughtfully.
"But I didn't notice any marks on his body to indicate that he'd been hit by a rock," he countered.
"Perhaps you just didn't check hard enough," reprimanded the blue haired man.
The green haired man with the robotic eye walked over.
"A bit squeamish about examining dead bodies, are you?" he asked.
Though Blue did not like to admit it, watching his grandfather being executed on live television, and all of the public executions ever since, had given him a sour stomach for looking at dead people. He didn't have to verbally admit it, though, since his greenish pallor spoke volumes.
"Not to worry," said the green haired man, "with my robotic eye, I can sometimes spot things that most people would miss with their flawed human eyes."

He knelt over Morty's cadaver, and flipped it over. His synthetic eye gleamed as he looked for clues.
    "Here," he said, pointing.
Though initially hesitant, Blue looked at where the green haired man was pointing. Sure enough, under the area on the back of Morty's head usually covered by the headband was a bruise as though he had been bashed by something.
"Well," said Blue, still slightly skeptical, "that means he was hit by something, but you'd think a rock would have done more visible damage."
"Not if it was wielded by an expert, and if the wound was immediately cauterized," said the girl in the school uniform.

The girl on the roller skates thought for a moment.
"Well, there are two Rock type specialists here," she said, nodding at the girl in the school uniform, "you, and...him."
She pointed over to the chubby boy in the sunglasses, who was busy signing League Cards for nobody in particular.

The woman wearing leaves walked over to him and poked him with a stick, startling him.
"Hey there," she said, smiling, "what're you doing all the way over here by yourself?"
"N-n-nothing," said the boy in the sunglasses, caught off guard.
"It isn't nice to be antisocial, you know," said Giovanni, "one might begin to suspect you were up to something...untoward."
"I'm not!" said the boy, defiantly, "I'm signing League Cards for my fans. Can't disappoint them!"
"And how many of your fans are here right now?" asked the girl in the roller skates.
"W-w-well none," admitted the chubby boy, "but I--"
"Isn't his Pokemon both Rock and Fire type?" pondered the green haired man with the walking stick.
"That would give him the technical skills to minimize visible damage caused by bashing his opponent with a rock, being an expert stoneworker, and the ability to cauterize the wound by searing it shut," Giovanni said.

With the others in agreement, it was decided that the boy in the sunglasses would be their next target for that day, but he wasn't going to go down without a fight.
"Go, Coalossal," he shouted, releasing the fiery behemoth from his Pokeball.

"I'll take care of this," said the girl in the school uniform, "I'll show him what a real Rock type specialist can do. Probopass, let's go!"
She unleashed the large nosed and gloriously mustachioed Rock/Steel Pokemon from her ball, and the two Rock types squared off against each other.

"Probopass, use Earth Power!" exclaimed the girl in the school uniform.
The magnetic Pokemon channeled the power of the earth and caused the ground underneath Coalossal to erupt, hitting it for massive damage.
The steam powered Pokemon wouldn't be dispatched of that easily, however.
"Okay, Coalossal," said the boy in the sunglasses, "use Heat Crash!"

Coalossol ignited his body and charged at Probopass.
"Watch out!" shouted the girl in the school uniform, but it was too late.
Coalossal's attack made a direct hit. Unfortunately, due to the fact that Probopass was heavier, the attack was stopped cold, and did minimal damage.
"W-what?" asked the boy in the sports uniform, his sunglasses slipping down a little.
Meanwhile, the girl in the school uniform was ecstatic.
"Probopass, give it a Thunderbolt!" she shouted
This time, the Probopass conjured a bolt of lighting using her magnetic power which struck Coalossal, paralyzing it.
Still, the Coal Pokemon would not go down.
"Okay," said the girl with the pink ribbon in her hair, "let's finish it with another Earth Power!"

Once more, the ground underneath Coalossal erupted, and, because he was paralyzed, he couldn't escape. This time, Coalossal did not get back up again.
"No!" exclaimed the boy with the highlights in his hair, "Coalossal! Get up, Coalossal!"
"Too late," said the man in the black uniform, "it's all over for you."

Once again, he snapped his adversary's neck, causing the boy to fall lifelessly to the ground.

Day 3: Putting The "Rock" In "Rocket"

After the man in the black uniform killed yet another innocent individual, suspicions of him began to increase.

"Is he really one of us?" wondered the woman wearing leaves.
"His methods seem far too brutal for someone who is an enemy of the Rockets," agreed the schoolgirl.
    "...no," stated the masked man.
"No?" asked the girl on the roller skates, "what do you mean?"
"The Rockets have committed numerous atrocities," explained the masked man, "it is certainly understandable why someone, especially who has suffered directly at the hands of the Rockets, would resort to such methods in order to eradicate them."
Though he was appalled with the scarred man's methods, Blue found himself agreeing with the masked man.
"Still, though," he thought to himself, "killing people with such conviction, without actually knowing if they were Rockets..."

In the end, though, nobody was actually willing to confront the gray haired man personally so they dropped the subject. Once again, night time, or what passed for night time in the cave, was upon them. The group went to sleep again, exhausted after the day's exertions...except for the usual suspects.

The green haired man with the robotic eye, the blue haired man in the gray vest and spacesuit, and Giovanni gathered together to plot their evil exercises for the evening.
"That schoolgirl proved herself to be quite capable earlier," said the green haired man, "perhaps she should be our target this evening."
"The schoolgirl?" said the blue haired man, raising an eyebrow, "she's just a child."
"But look at her battling prowess," countered the green haired man, "she's clearly a prodigy."
"I would suggest getting rid of the man in the black uniform," suggested the blue haired man, "he clearly has no objections to murder, and would likely pose a significant threat to us, should he figure out who we are."
"I disagree," chimed in Giovanni, "we can use his brutal methods in our favor. You observed earlier how some people have doubts about him based on his cruelty."
"True," conceded the blue haired man.
"So let's go for the schoolgirl, then," prompted the green haired man.
"Fine," sighed the blue haired man, reaching for his Dusk Ball, "I will take care of it."
"Nonsense," interjected the green haired man, "you got to kill our adversary last night. Why should you have all the fun?"
"Would you prefer killing her, then?" asked the blue haired man.
"No," said the green haired man, "perish the thought! I was just thinking that our glorious leader should be given the opportunity to make a kill."
"Well," said Giovanni, pulling out his Master Ball and smirking slightly, "if you insist."
Having completed their plotting for the evening, they went their separate ways.

Giovanni sent out Mewtwo and established a mental link with the powerful Pokemon. He gave the instructions, and Mewtwo moved in to complete the task.

The schoolgirl had sequestered herself away from everyone else, and had sent out her Probopass, to protect her while she slept. Mewtwo used its Psychic power to confuse the Compass Pokemon and charged up an Aura Sphere which it fired it at the magnetic mustachioed rock. It hit for massive damage, but the nosy Pokemon barely hung on. The Probopass floated wobbling a bit, and then glowed in a bright light, which woke up the schoolgirl.
She barely had time to open her eyes, however, before the Probopass Exploded, utterly obliterating both her and Mewtwo.

Still mentally connected to the Genetic Pokemon, Giovanni felt the pain of being enveloped in the massive explosion and torn to shreds. He unconsciously yelled in agony. The loud boom from the explosion, combined with Giovanni's shouts, woke up everyone else.

    "What's going on?" demanded Blue.
"What happened?" asked the woman wearing leaves.
"I heard an explosion," said the green haired man.
"...look," said the masked man, pointing to the charred remains of the schoolgirl.
"Another cowardly attack by the Rockets," growled the gray haired man, "will their savagery never cease?"
"...what's with him?" asked the girl on the roller skates, pointing to Giovanni, who was convulsing on the floor, still writhing in pain.

"It would appear that his efforts to kill the schoolgirl backfired," stated the masked man.
"What makes you say that?" asked the green haired man.
"The remains from the explosion," he explained.
The man in the black uniform looked closer, putting on a pair of rubber gloves.
He muttered to himself as he worked.
"...so this came from Probopass...this was from the girl...but what prompted the explosion?" he pondered.
He examined the remains for a few moments longer, disgusting some of the other people.
"AH HA!" he exclaimed, holding up what was unmistakably part of a purple tail, "this did not come from Probopass or the schoolgirl. This came from their attacker!"
He rounded on the Rocket Boss.
"Mewtwo is a Psychic type Pokemon, and the signature Pokemon of the Team Rainbow Rocket Boss," he said, triumphantly, "I'm guessing that Giovanni had psychically linked to Mewtwo in order to coordinate the attack silently. When Mewtwo was killed, Giovanni felt the pain."
"...my thoughts exactly," said the masked man.
"I will put him out of our misery," said the man in the black uniform, stepping over to the convulsing Giovanni.
He pulled the Rocket Boss up by the lapel of his suit jacket, and looked him in the eyes.
"You were my friend!" he spat, "I trusted you completely, and you...you betrayed that trust. You killed Acerola. I can never forgive you for that."

With that, the gray haired man in the black uniform snapped the Rainbow Rocket Boss's neck, and dropped the dead body on the ground.
"Good bye, and good riddance," he said, turning and walking away.

Night 3: Blue In The Face

With Giovanni himself dead, the group settled down to return to sleep once more...except for the blue haired man in the gray vest and spacesuit and the green haired man with the robotic eye.

"...so," said the blue haired man, emotionlessly, "Boss Rocket is dead."
"Indeed he is," smirked the green haired man, rubbing his hands together gleefully, "and now I can take my place as the rightful King of Team Rainbow Rocket."
"...you're insane," said the blue haired man, before coming to a realization, "you knew that Giovanni would be killed if we targeted Roxanne. You deliberately set him up."
The green haired man shrugged casually.
"Well, I had my suspicions," he said.
"This whole scenario was your way of eliminating Giovanni so that you could take over Team Rainbow Rocket," stated the blue haired man.
"Quite so," replied the green haired man.
"And how did you figure I wouldn't try to assume control, myself?" asked the blue haired man.
"You're certainly welcome to try," the green haired man said, gritting his teeth, "but that would disrupt your own ambitions. You have no need to run Team Rainbow Rocket, as long as you can use its resources. It would be an unnecessary hassle."
    The blue haired man shrugged.
"As you say," he confirmed, "but do not attempt to cross me, or else it will be the last thing you ever do."
    He thought for another moment.
"Since the whole purpose of this charade was to eliminate Giovanni, and you have successfully done so, should we just eliminate the remaining member of the resistance now?"
"Nah," objected the green haired man, "we might as well see this thing through to the end at this point."
"Very well," said the blue haired man, "but do not expect me to assist you if this blows up in your face."

Having come to an understanding, the blue haired man and green haired man went their separate ways.

The following day, the group awoke, and, in general, we in a good mood, due to Giovanni's death, but they knew there was still hard work ahead.
"Giovanni may be dead," said the gray haired man in the black uniform, "but his allies are still among us, scheming."
"We'll get them, don't worry," said the woman in the leaf costume, smiling cheerfully.
"...your optimism is astounding," said the masked man, "but it is a breath of fresh air."

Blue was thinking to himself about the man in the uniform's actions.

"He killed several people, mercilessly, without confirming that they were Rockets," he muttered, pacing back and forth subconsciously, "but he only killed Giovanni when it was absolutely clear he was guilty. He even said the Giovanni had been his friend, which he'd have no way of knowing if our minds were wiped."

He stopped pacing and slammed a fist in his palm.
"There's only one conclusion," he said, "he's guilty!"

With a look of determination, he approached the rest of the group.

"I've got a lead!" he exclaimed.

The girl on roller skates, surprised by the sudden exclamation, accidentally crashed into the cave wall.
"Do tell?" asked the man in the spacesuit.

"I know who one of Giovanni's allies is!" proclaimed Professor Oak, "it's that guy!"
He pointed at the man in the black uniform, who scowled darkly.
"I think not," said the green haired man, waving a finger dismissively, "after all, he did just kill Giovanni."
"Yes, but he also killed a lot of other people," countered Blue.
"Only after suspicions had fallen onto them," said the masked man.
"He referred to Giovanni as a friend!" retorted Blue.
"A former friend," corrected the girl on roller skates, who had picked herself up and was dusting herself off.

Blue sighed, completely exasperated at everyone else's ridiculous behavior.

"Come to think of it," said the blue haired man, thoughtfully, "why do we trust you, anyway?"

Professor Oak took an unconscious step backwards.
"Hold on a moment," he said, raising his hands defensively, "I was the one who brought us all together to fight the Rockets in the first place."
"No," said the man in the black uniform, "you brought us all together and into a trap. You doomed us all to death. You've been behind this massacre from the very start, but you made it seem like you wanted to help us overthrow the Rockets."

"I, what? That's ridiculous!" protested the former Gym Leader, but he saw that everyone else was turning against him.
"Ridiculous, is it?" asked the woman wearing leaves, "then how was it that the Rockets were here as soon as we arrived?"
"Or that they immediately had a plan to turn us all against each other?" added the man in the spacesuit.

The group backed Blue into a corner.
"Okay," said the Pokemon Professor, "I didn't want to do this, but you've forced my hand. Go, Pidgeot!"

He sent out his majestic bird, who immediately flapped his wings, and caused a massive whirlwind, which blew back the others, giving Blue some space to breath.
"So that's how it is?" asked the man in the black uniform, "very well. I shall take care of you myself. Go, Persian!"

The man sent out a black cat with a cartoonish face.

"Persian, use Fake Out!" shouted the man in the black uniform.
Instantly, the Persian jumped out and stuck the Pidgeot, causing it to flinch.
"Now!" yelled the gray haired man, "Power Gem!"

The gemstone on the Persian's forehead glowed, and she launched a beam from it, which struck the Pidgeot, weakening it.
"No!" shouted Blue, "Pidgeot, use Air Slash!"

The majestic bird created a scythe out by whipping the air into a large current and sent it flying at the black cat.
"Dodge!" shouted the man in the black uniform, "and use Power Gem once more!"

The Persian leapt up, dodging the attack, and launched another beam from the gemstone on her forehead.
Caught by surprise, the Pidgeot was hit dead on, and fell to the ground, fainted.

"No..." said Blue, backing up against the wall, "don't do this. You don't want to do this!"
"I think I do," said the man with the scarred face.

Blue tried to struggle, but the man in the uniform had hand to hand combat training. He was subdued easily.
Blue turned to the others, pleadingly.
"Please," he begged, "don't let him do this."

The others just turned away, and the man snapped Blue's neck.

    Pidgeot, the Normal/Flying-type Bird Pokémon.
It spreads its beautiful wings wide to frighten its enemies. Its well-developed chest muscles make it strong enough to whip up a gusty windstorm with just a few flaps. It can fly at Mach 2 speed.
Former rival of Red, who stood up against Giovanni and failed, Blue is a head-strong young man who managed to become Champion of the Kanto region at a surprisingly fast rate. He specialises in no specific type, preferring to use a wide variety of Pokemon to defeat his opponents and keep them on their toes. Though the Pokemon he uses the most is Pidgeot, acting as his trump card and best friend in any situation, able to protect him and help him get around.

Day 4: Fighting A Losing Battle

With the grim death of Professor Oak, the group was left feeling blue. Alas, there was nothing more they could do to help him.
"...that could have gone better," stated the man in the mask.
"Way to be obvious," said the girl on the roller skates, "I didn't hear you speaking up before we went after Blue."
"It was a solid thought process," grunted the man in the black uniform, "there was a real possibility that he had led us into a trap."
"Of course you would say that," said the woman wearing leaves, "he was accusing you of being an ally of Giovanni."

The man in the black uniform sighed, and sat down on a nearby protruding rock.
"Sit down," he said, "and let me tell you all a story."

Suspicious, but curious, the group sat down to listen.

The man with the scarred face stared up at the ceiling for a few moments, closed his eyes, and began.

"Years and years ago, back when Giovanni and I were just children, we were friends. Even though I lived in Alola and he lived in Kanto, his family was wealthy enough that they took trips to Alola frequently for vacation. Giovanni hated his mother. She was always busy with her job, even when they were on vacation. Neither of us realized it at the time, but she was running a criminal syndicate, the original Team Rocket. Still, whenever he came to Alola, Giovanni would spend most of his time away from his mother and we'd hang out at the Malie Garden, explore the Ruins of Abundance in an attempt to find the guardian deity, and buy junk at the Thrifty Megamart."

He paused, reflecting on those times, almost smiling.

"As we grew older, we went our separate ways. Giovanni began to show interest in his mother's syndicate, and I became a police officer, eventually becoming a member of the International Police. As a member of the International Police, I heard about the exploits of Team Rocket and its new leader, Giovanni, but I always brushed them off and requested other assignments. There were plenty of other evil organizations to combat around the world. Team Snagem and Cipher in the Orre Region, Team Dim Sun, The Go-Rock Squad...and more. I was never lacking in something to do.

One day, I was given a new assignment. A strange spatial anomaly was discovered in Alola. We had organizations researching it, including the Aether Foundation, but what complicated the issue was that a human had fallen out of the anomaly. It was the first Ultra Wormhole. As part of a multidisciplinary team, I helped study the reading of the Ultra Wormhole, and became part of a task force that would be summoned to handle any wormhole related issues. Sometimes, nothing would happen except a wormhole would appear. Other times, people would get sucked up or fall out of the wormhole. In the worst instances, ferocious and fearsome creatures would emerge from the wormholes. It would take all of our combined efforts to just send the creature back into the wormhole. We lost a lot of good people and Pokemon to those beasts..."

He paused again, somberly this time, thinking of the people he'd lost throughout the years.

"Then, one day, Team Rocket began taking over the world." he continued, "nobody knew how it began, but, one day, all of Kanto belonged to Team Rocket. The next week, Johto had fallen. Team Rocket continued to spread from there until they had taken over the entire world. Naturally, as a member of the International Police, I was among the first wave of people sent to fight against the rise of Team Rocket. We lost. Badly. Giovanni had a Pokemon that was unstoppable. Even my Dark types were powerless, despite the Pokemon being a Psychic type. My fellow officers were all killed, but Giovanni took pity on me, and let me go.

When Giovanni took over Alola, he stumbled onto the research of the Aether Foundation on the Ultra Wormholes, and was very curious. Unfortunately, he had already killed all of the senior staff members of the Aether Foundation, since they posed too much of a threat to him. That left him locked out of their encrypted files, but that was okay; he had a backup plan. When we had battled, Giovanni had had his Pokemon put a mental tracker on me, so that, no matter where I fled to, Giovanni could find me. He and his goons tracked me down to the ruins of Po Town, where I had been hiding out. They captured me. Giovanni wanted to know all about the Ultra Wormholes, and had found out from Aether's files that I had been part of the task force. First, Giovanni's Psychic Pokemon tried to force the information from my brain, but I resisted, and Giovanni realized that the information could be lost if it was forced out and my mind was broken in the process. So then they progressed to actual torture."

The gray haired man smirked sardonically.

"That's how I got all these scars. Even that didn't work, since part of my training had been to resist torture. Still Giovanni persisted. He and his goons managed to discover the whereabouts of one of the island's Trial Captains, Acerola. They dragged her into the prison in which I was kept, and began torturing her."

    The man shuddered.

"Her screams haunted me, and I surrendered all of the information I knew to Giovanni and his Scientists. It's because of me that Giovanni gained the technological know-how to travel across time and space. But that wasn't the worst of it. After I had given them all of the information, and they'd created their first stable portal...they killed Acerola. Instead of letting her go. I trusted Giovanni. I took him at his word when he said that he would let her go if I cooperated. I thought he was my friend. I was a fool, and now, because of me, the entire multiverse is suffering."

The gray haired man pounded his fist into the rock, drawing blood, but he didn't seem to care.

"After that, Giovanni and his goons locked me away in the darkest dungeon they could find. I was there for months, wasting away, until my Persian tracked me down and helped me escape. I've been battling Team Rocket and trying to take back whatever I could ever since."

He looked at the assembled group.

"And that is why I am so ruthless when it comes to dealing with Giovanni and his associates."

Nobody said a word for the longest time.

The man in the mask stood up, walked over to the man in the black uniform, and put a hand on his shoulder.
The woman wearing leaves and the girl in the roller skates were crying.
"...that's quite the story," said the man in the spacesuit, while the green haired man nodded in agreement.
"Now you know," said the man in the black uniform, shrugging off the masked man's hand and standing up. He walked over to the entrance of the cave, which was still sealed off, and sat down.

One by one, the rest of the group somberly dispersed and eventually drifted off to sleep.

The blue haired man and the green haired man met up to discuss their dastardly doings for that night.

"After his rousing speech today, I'm thinking we should just kill the man in the black uniform," said the green haired man, "he's mentally unstable and out for revenge, which makes him very dangerous."
"While I agree with that sentiment, I do not believe that attacking him now is a wise idea," responded the blue haired man, "he is paranoid enough that it would likely trigger a trap and eliminate one of our Pokemon. Then, in the morning, all he would have to do to expose one of us is ask everyone to show their Pokemon."
The green haired man nodded in agreement.
"Well thought out," he admitted, "then we should probably go for a less viable target."
"I'll take care of it," said the man in the spacesuit, "I already have someone in mind."

The green haired man nodded, and went back to sleep.
The blue haired man sent out his Pokemon, who, once again, disappeared into the shadows, emerging not far from the girl in the roller skates. Her Pokemon, a Lucario, was on high alert nearby. The Lucario sensed something amiss in the nearby aura, and attempted to launch an Aura Sphere, but it passed harmlessly through the spectral dragon. Before it could get off a second attack, it was enveloped in the darkness, and immediately fainted. The ghostly dragon then turned its attention to the girl, who was still wearing her roller skates, despite being asleep. A moment later, the girl was dead.

The blue haired man smirked. Even with Giovanni dead, it seemed like there was nothing to stop him, and, what did he care if the green haired man was in charge of Team Rainbow Rocket. Soon, the entire multiverse would be completely rewritten in his own image. Let the green haired man have his fun in the here and now. He, the blue haired man, would soon have his perfect multiverse.

    Lucario, the Fighting/Steel-type Aura Pokemon
It controls waves known as auras, which are powerful enough to pulverize huge rocks. It uses these waves to take down its prey. It can tell what people are thinking. Only Trainers who have justice in their hearts can earn this Pokémon's trust.

Successor to the Tower of Mastery and descendant of the first person to ever use Mega Evolution, Korrina spends almost all her free time training her Pokemon. She can often be found travelling around on her roller skates, all this skating has been said that her legs are powerful enough to crush even rocks. Recently she’s been focusing on training with her Lucario in the art of Mega Evolution, but it doesn’t quite have the hang of it yet...

    Endgame: Getting Cold Feet

When the remaining people awoke the following morning, they discovered that the girl in the roller skates had been killed.
"This is truly a tragedy," said the green haired man.
"Yes," agreed the blue haired man, "but at least now we know someone who is guilty."
"And who is that?" asked the woman wearing leaves.
"Him," accused the blue haired man, pointing to the masked man.

"What's your evidence?" asked the green haired man.
"First, he's been generally very quiet, and tends to lurk in the background, never committing to much of anything," explained the blue haired man, "and, being an Ice type specialist, he's had a reason to eliminate the Rock and Fighting type specialists, while keeping the Grass and Dragon specialists around, for easy pickings."
The gray haired man nodded, thoughtfully.
"That actually makes a lot of sense," he said, "and, as I recall it, one of Giovanni's associates does have a tendency to freeze entire cities."

"...no," said the masked man, "this is a mistake. I am not your enemy."
"AH HA!" shouted the woman wearing a leaf dress, enthusiastically, "that's exactly what someone who was our enemy would say!"

The masked man just sweatdropped at the incredibly flimsy statement.
"I cannot allow you to eliminate me," he said, "it would put our enemies in the perfect position to defeat the rest of you."

"You don't have much of a choice, now do you?" asked the man in the black uniform, sending out his Persian.
"...very well," said the masked man, "but I shall not lose. Go, Cryogonal!"

The masked man sent out a gigantic predatory snowflake with a mustache.
"Persian, use Fake Out!" exclaimed the man in the black uniform.
Instantly, the Persian leapt out and slashed the snowflake, causing it to flinch.
It shook off the damage fairly easily.
"Cryogonal, Frost Breath!" said the masked man.

The snowflake emitted a freezing wave of energy from its mouth, freezing the Persian in place.

"You will not find me as easy to defeat as the others," stated the masked man, taking a fighting stance and charging at the man in the black uniform.

As the snowflake continued to freeze the Persian, the masked man and the gray haired man exchanged blows.
The masked man sent out a right hook, but the man in the black uniform blocked it by deflecting the blow with his left arm. He then grabbed the masked man's right arm and threw him over his head.
The masked man quickly flipped midair and landed on his feet, lashing out with a quick jab. The blow connected, and the gray haired man stumbled backwards. The masked man pressed his advantage and lashed out at the scarred man with a volley of kicks and punches. The man in the black uniform was forced on the defensive, trying to deflect or dodge as many of the attacks as he could.

Suddenly, a ghostly form emerged from the shadows and attacked the Cryogonal, landing a devastating Outrage. Cryogonal began spinning mid air, as the Persian broke free from the ice and hit it with a Power Gem blast from the gem on its forehead, causing it to immediately faint.
The commotion distracted the masked man, who let up from the assault for just a moment, as his partner fainted. It was just the opportunity that the man in the black uniform was looking for. He lashed out with a low sweep and knocked the masked man off his feet.
The ice specialist landed on his butt with a thud.
The man in the black uniform barely took a moment to nod in appreciation to the man in the spacesuit for his timely assistance, before pinning the masked man to the ground.
"No!" protested the masked man, "you must not do this! It will be the end of everything!"

His protests rang hollow, and the gray haired man once again claimed another victim.

    Epilogue: Resistance Is Futile

The gray haired man in the black uniform stepped back from Brycen's body, shocked and aghast at what he had done.

With this final murder, the blue haired man and the green haired man had finally whittled down the resistance enough to reveal themselves. Not that it actually mattered at this point, since the two remaining resistance members figured it out, too little, too late.

"Y-you!" said the man with the facial scars, "it was you two all along!"
"Yes, I'm afraid so," said the green haired man with the robotic eye, "my associate and I were just biding our time while you single handedly took out so many of your own people. It was actually very amusing to watch."
"No!" exclaimed the man in the black uniform, "I won't let it end this way! I can defeat you!"
"You mean we can defeat them," said the woman in the leaf outfit, "this isn't over yet."

"Oh, but I think it is," said the blue haired man in the spacesuit, "you two are no match for our superior Pokemon."
"We'll just see about that!" said the woman wearing leaves, defiantly, "go, Roserade!"

The Grass/Fairy type Pokemon appeared in a dazzling display of leaves and magical sparkles.

"Persian, let's go!" shouted the man in the black uniform, sending out his black cat with the cartoonish face.

"Let's end this," said the green haired man, "Kyurem, come forth and freeze them all!"
A gray dragon with icy blue wings emerged from its Ultra Ball.

"I grow weary of this pointless strife," said the blue haired man, "Giratina will finish this."
A spectral dragon with six almost skeletal wings and a gray, red, and black striped body popped out of its Dusk Ball.

"Roserade, use Moonblast!" shouted the woman wearing leaves.

The masked plant fired off a beam of pure magical energy at Giratina.

    "Giratina, Shadow Force!"

The skeletal dragon disappeared into the shadows, causing the Moonblast to miss.

    "Kyurem use Blizzard!"

The icy dragon opened its maw to spew icy cold wind at the Roserade.

    "Persian, Fake Out!"

Before Kyurem could finish its move, the Persian leapt out and struck it, causing it to flinch.

"Nice work!" said the woman in the leaf outfit, "now, Roserade, Moonblast!"

Once again, the masked Pokemon prepared to fire off a mystical energy beam, this time at Kyurem, but Giratina re-emerged from the shadows and lashed out at Roserade, causing her attack to miss.
"Persian, Dark Pulse!" ordered the man in the black uniform, as Roserade struggled to shake off the ghostly dragon's assault.

The black cat sent out a wave of pure dark energy at the Giratina, who dodged it by disappearing back into the shadows.

"Man, I am getting so sick of that," grumbled the woman wearing the dress made of leaves.

Meanwhile, Kyurem had shrugged off the Persian's sneak attack, and opened its maw, unleashing a blizzard, straight at the Roserade, who was just getting to her feet. She was engulfed in the cold and icy winds, and froze instantly.

"Giratina, finish this with Aura Sphere," ordered the blue haired man.

The ghostly dragon emerged from the shadows, right behind the Persian, and launched an energy blast of pure fighting energy at the black cat. Despite her best efforts, the Persian just wasn't fast enough to dodge the attack, and was hit, immediately fainting.

"It's over," said the green haired man, his robotic eye gleaming evilly, "now, let's finish them off."

He pulled a sword out of his walking stick and approached the man in the black uniform and the woman in the leaf dress, laughing wickedly.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Giovanni and Mewtwo stood over the bodies. Grimsley, Morty, Gordie, Roxanne, Blue, Korrina, Brycen, Gardenia, and Nanu were all dead.
Only Ghetsis and Cyrus remained alive, though they were completely braindead to the world and trapped in a psychic hallucination.

Ghetsis laughed evilly in his psychically induced sleep, obviously enjoying his vivid hallucinogenic dream state.

Giovanni smirked, as, through his mental link with Mewtwo, he had seen the entire situation unfold, and was able to process all of the information as Mewtwo drained it from Ghetsis' and Cyrus' minds.
"As if I would have ever actually agreed to make this some kind of game," scoffed the Rocket Boss, "why should I put everything I have achieved up for grabs, when there is nothing to be gained from it except for an untimely death?"
He looked at Ghetsis' comatose body.
"Your ploy to get me killed was immensely transparent, though, I must admit that it made it easier for me to betray you," said the mafioso.
He turned to Cyrus, whose expression was as blank and emotionless as it was when he was awake.
"And as for you, while you had no intentions to overthrow me and claim my empire, I was well aware of your intentions to rewrite all of creation. I was prepared for this encounter, gentlemen. You, apparently, were not."

He bent down to pick up Ghetsis' Ultra Ball and Cyrus' Dusk Ball. Kyurem and Giratina were now his. What's more, from their memories, he had gained the knowledge of Ghetsis' DNA Splicers and Cyrus' Red Chain. Now, with the power of their Pokemon, and the knowledge of genetic engineering and knowledge on the fundamental building blocks of reality, combined with the knowledge of temporal mechanics and Ultra Beasts that he had obtained from the Aether Foundation, he could move forward with his true plans. Remaking reality in his image.

Why should Cyrus get to decide what the multiverse should look like? He, Giovanni, was the true superior force in all of reality, and now, he would cement his place and claim his godhood. Nothing could stop him now!

Mewtwo, having finished draining Ghetsis' and Cyrus' brains, shut them off completely on the way out, killing the two former team bosses.
"Gentlemen," said Giovanni, returning Mewtwo to its Master Ball and walking away, "it's been a pleasure."

After discarding N who he considered a “freak”, he came across Giovanni who convinced him to join sides to take down any who oppose them. With Kyurem at his side, which he gained by freezing all of Unova from his own world, he left it behind to liberate Pokemon from those who he considers not worthy of them...

Because of your incredible power and ability to freeze others with said power, under the guidance of your trainer, you are a Roleblocker. The purpose of a Roleblocker is that they can prevent another player from completing their action that night if they try to use one, including kills. Each night you can block another player by saying Roleblock: [Player] in your Role PM during the Night Phase.

Your fellow Mafia are [Redacted], and you share the responsibility of killing players at night, use Kill: [Player] in the Mafia Chat to do so.

You are Mafia and win when all threats to you have been wiped out. Your Mentor will win if you do.

    Giratina, the Ghost/Dragon-type Renegade Pokemon
This Pokémon is said to live in a world on the reverse side of ours, where common knowledge is distorted and strange. It was banished for its violence. It silently gazed upon the old world from the Distortion World.
The emotionless former leader of Team Galactic, Cyrus, now working with Giovanni under the impression that he will lead him to his perfect world. After finding his way to the Distortion World in his own universe, he discovered it wasn’t what he sought after all and his efforts had been wasted, he did however find a strong Pokemon there, Giratina and took control of its power for his own. He has slight misgivings about working for such evil people, but cares little for them in the end, all that matters is that he will reach his goal by following Giovanni’s orders...

    Epilogue: Rocketing To The Moon

Suddenly, a temporal portal appeared behind Giovanni. The maelstrom was so powerful that it engulfed all of the dead bodies into its howling winds. Out from the temporal whirlwind moonwalked the strangest figure that the Rocket Boss had ever seen. It was a tall and lanky man wearing black high heeled boots with yellow stripes and a pair of dark blue bell bottom pants with a snazzy belt that had a star as its buckle. He had a matching blue shirt that was left completely open, exposing his scrawny chest. For accessories, the man had a black glove on his right hand, wore a gold scarf around his neck, a pair of flashy disco ball earrings, and was wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. But none of that was even his most remarkable feature. This man's hair was huge. It was a large and poofy afro. The right side of the afro was colored red, and the left side was white, making it resemble a Poke Ball turned on its side.

"Fuhohoho," laughed the strange man, "not so fast, Giovanni. You may have defeated all them other cats, but now you'll face off against the legendary dance master himself, the glorious Miror B. Let's see if you can keep up with my tempo and fancy footwork, little man. Let the music play!"
