The Meow Meow Meow! egg event, which first ran in late February last year, is making a return today in Pokémon Masters EX, showcasing the various forms of Meowth. Sygna Suit Steven and Deoxyxs are also making a return in a Poké Fair Scout, alongside the usual collection of regular events and presents on offer in Pokémon Masters EX for the Pokémon Masters Day monthly celebrations. Also dropping today is a short update message from the developers ahead of Pokémon Day reveals of 4.5 Year Anniversary Celebration events and Sync Pairs.

All players who log in today will receive a special present of 500 gems from Pikachu, and have the opportunity to take advantage of special events and co-op battles. As always, several Sync Pairs are also receiving upgrades alongside this monthly event.

Pokémon Masters Day first ran back in November 2021, and currently runs every month in Pokémon Masters EX from the 24th at 11:00 pm (PDT), through to the 25th at 10:59 pm (PDT). To claim presents, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.

The regional forms of Meowth and their evolutions
Meow Meow Meow!

In this variant of the typical egg event, players will be able to receive Eggs from Professor Bellis that will hatch into one of Meowth's three alternative forms. This event is available in-game now, and will continue through to March 15th at 10:59pm (PDT). During this time, players will only receive eggs by completing missions from this Meow Meow Meow! event, and will not receive Eggs for completing other areas.

One limited-time incubator will also be added to Bellis's Lab for the duration of this event. If an Egg is still in the limited-time incubator when the event ends, the limited-time incubator will remain active until that Egg hatches.

As usual for events of this type, several special missions will be available during the event period. Players will be able to receive all rewards from these missions even if they have previously completed the Meow Meow Meow! event during its original run. Players will also have an increased chance of receiving Eggs if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs are placed in the lineup, the higher the Egg reward rate will be. The applicable Sync Pairs and Egg reward rates are as follows:
  • Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type Main Character Sync Pairs: +80% (×1.8) Egg Reward Rate
  • Main Character Sync Pairs: +40% (×1.4) Egg Reward Rate
  • Other Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type-type Sync Pairs: +20% Egg Reward Rate (×1.2)
These bonuses stack additively, so having 1 Main Character Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type Sync Pair, and two other Normal-, Dark-, and Steel-type sync pairs would give a combined bonus of +120% (x2.2)

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • Players cannot receive Eggs from Professor Bellis by completing areas outside of this event during this event period.

In addition to Titles, Players will also be able to customize their Profiles with Hashtags. While these do not need to be earned like Titles, players will be restricted to a prepared list of tags.

Likes, and Search Updates
Together with these cosmetic updates to the profile, Players will now be able to add Likes to other Player's profiles, as well as search for other players by various Profile criteria, including the Trainers in their Photo.
