More Paldean Pokémon to debut in Pokémon GO from September 10th with the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event

Niantic has announced that, as a result of Trainers completing 20 Global Challenges during the Pokémon GO Fest 2023: Global event, a special Ultra Unlock: Paldea event will be held mid-next month, featuring the Pokémon GO debuts of a large number of Pokémon from the Paldea region. This event will run from September 10th, at 10:00am to September 15th, at 8:00pm local time.

Pokémon debuts
The following Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will debut in this event:

• Nymble
• Lokix
• Pawmi
• Pawmo
• Pawmot
• Bombirdier (including its Shiny variant)
• Frigibax
• Arctibax
• Baxcalibur

The requirements to evolve these Pokémon are as follows:

• Nymble → Lokix: 50 Nymble Candy
• Pawmi → Pawmo: 25 Pawmi Candy
• Pawmo → Pawmot: Explore 25 km with Pawmo as the buddy Pokémon and then 100 Pawmi Candy
• Frigibax → Arctibax: 25 Frigibax Candy
• Arctibax → Baxcalibur: 100 Frigibax Candy

Once this event has ended, Frigibax will be added to the pool of Pokémon that may hatch from 10 km Eggs.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:

• 4× XP for catching Pokémon
• 4× Stardust for catching Pokémon
• Roaming Form Gimmighoul won't appear at Golden PokéStops if a Golden Lure Module wasn't used, but Trainers may still find Gimmighoul Coins when they spin the PokéStop
• PokéStops may turn gold without a Golden Lure Module

PokéStop Showcases
Select PokéStops during this event will feature Showcases where Trainers can enter their Pawmi or Nymble.

Free and Paid Timed and Field Research
The Timed Research featuring encounters with Lechonk from the A Paldean Adventure event will be extended through the end of this event. Occasionally, the Lechonk encountered through this Timed Research may be Shiny. Event-themed Field Research tasks will also be available, with Trainers who complete these tasks receiving an encounter with Pawmi.

From September 10th, at 10:00am to September 14th, at 8:00pm local time, Trainers will be able to purchase the I've Got Your Back Timed Research for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency) from the in-game shop. When these event-themed research tasks are completed, Trainers will receive the following:

• Two encounters with Pawmi
• Pawmi Backpack avatar item
• Three Rare Candy
• One Incubator
• 10 Silver Pinap Berries
• 921 Stardust
• 9210 XP

The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before September 15th, at 8:00pm local time. This Timed Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.

The Pawmi Backpack avatar item will be made available for purchase in the in-game shop after the event ends.
