Moves that Pokemon should/should not be able to learn

Playing Pokemon Moon with my top six favourite Pokemon, five transferred from other games and just learned that Mr. Mime can learn Infestation... Why???
Well, Infestation's Japanese is "follow about", and the names in other languages can mean "pester" or "stalk" so I guess it's just Mr. Mime being a creep.

Gen I: Teleport Cloyster.

The most classic example is Doduo's and Dodrio's ability to learn Fly, even though they don't have wings, nor can spin their heads like an helicopter as some may suggest. :loopy:

If you know other cases of moves a pokemon is able to learn but shouldn't be, post it here. ;-)
The opposite also applies, if you think there is a move a Pokemon could be able to use, but doesn't in games.

I always thought they just jumped really high.

Vikavolt and First Impression maybe through breeding with new bug type pokemon in gen 8.
Trevanant Dig, as a ghost tree it should even be able to do that without a problem to escape in the ground and back.
____
the bug type move - "Powder" should be learned by more pokemon then Vivilion and Cutiefly and get a buff to react to fire, electric and poison type moves.
Venonat , Venomoth, should get it too Volcarona, come on, poison and fire in their types type could not use a Powder.
Pineco, Foretress, Dustox, Volbeat and Illumise.
Accelgor the ninja. Karrablast. Parasect(come on grass/bug without a "Powder" move, should get through breeding with them or a nother somehow). Vespiqueen, bees colect different "Powders" and could also learn to produce them.

Since gen 6 this move starts interesting me. It would give bugs the kick they need... Fire, electric and poison type users wouldn't loose much against those bug types that are next to ice the less used in the game.

It would be use more but not more then others bc it would be still risky to predict what move the oponent uses.

Here's something that I quite can't wrap my head around. How can Hariyama learn Whirlwind??? What, does it just whip up a strong wind with those large hands? Or is it used like a sumo-based move or something? I can't figure out how or why Tubbimura's Poke-cousin can use Whirlwind.

Almighty Arceus, Praise be upon him, can't learn Rock Smash.

Arceus is above doing manual labor like that, why don't you do it yourself you lazy mortal Arceus can learn Rock Smash, though I doubt it appreciates being sent from the heavens just to do a chore that could eaily be accomplished by a measly Bidoof.

Back to the thread, I always didn't understand how Dragonite could learn multiple Water-Type moves. Until I realised it's pre-evolutions look like Sea Snakes.

I like to imagine that it blows a huge gust of wind in a single breath.
