The new Underworld movie looks okay I guess, so I might see it (though it has been a while since I've seen the other movies in the series). Other then that the two other movies don't interest me.

The only commercials I've seen for new movies are Monster Trucks, which I knew wouldn't be at the top of the box office, 20th Century Women, Patriots Day, and Split; the others I've never heard of.

The new Underworld movie wasn't too bad, I'll buy it when it releases on DVD.

What a boring month January was. Power Rangers at least should have premiered there. The industry is becoming more and more afraid of Star Wars...

It was obvious that Lego Batman was going to be a Cash Grab. Let's see how far it goes...

Oh I forgot about A Dog's Purpose for what I want to see as well! It looks cute, though I have heard that on set a dog was forced into running water which makes me sad and angry, I still want to see it though since I'm a sucker for animal movies; especially if it focuses on dogs.

02/17/17
A Cure for Wellness
Plot: A young, idealistic executive is sent on assignment to retrieve their absent CEO from a "wellness center" located in a remote location in the Swiss Alps. Upon arriving, he can't shake the feeling that something is off about the spa's miraculous healing powers. But he finds himself shaken and questioning his sanity when he comes down with the same illness that keeps all the other guests there, hoping for a cure.

02/17/17
Fist Fight
Plot: The school year is down to its last day, but for mild-mannered teacher Andy Campbell it's the most stressful day of the year with senior pranks, budget cuts and a dysfunctional administration that puts everyone's job on the line. Unfortunately for Campbell, things go from bad to worse when his actions result in the firing of the tough-as-nails Ron Strickland. Strickland wastes no time in challenging Campbell to an after-school fight - news of which soon spreads across the school.

02/17/17
The Great Wall
Plot: Long-held belief was that The Great Wall of China, now considered on of the new 7 Wonders of the World, was constructed to keep the Mongolian horde at bay. That is the story but what if the wall was meant to keep something else at bay, something far more sinister and evil and what of the men that defended humanity?

The Great Wall looks to be pretty good, Fist Fight looks okay I guess, I might see it since it at least looks funny. Haven't seen an advertisement for A Cure for Wellness though, so I'm not sure on that one.

Don't know much about A Cure for Wellness but that synopsis gives me Ex Machina vibes.
I have a huge weakness for studio comedies so I'll definitely get around to seeing Fist Fight at some point.
The Great Wall looks like a hot mess. :p Might be worth checking out just for the novelty of seeing a Chinese/Hollywood co-production.

Weekend Box Office (February 17 - 19, 2017)

1 The LEGO Batman Movie $34,225,000.00
2 Fifty Shades Darker $20,966,845.00

4 John Wick: Chapter Two $16,500,000.00

8 A Dog's Purpose $5,560,855.00
9 La La Land $4,500,000.00
10 A Cure for Wellness $4,200,000.00

I knew LEGO Batman Movie would make number 1, still have to get around to see it! Same with a Dog's Purpose and The Great Wall. Saw Fist Fight with my father though, I actually liked it and kind of surprised it isn't at least 3 or 4.

For my personal movie viewing list, I've simplified the typical five-star rating system, so whenever I see a wide-release film (sorry rereleases like Aladdin or limited releases like Yu-Gi-Oh: Dark Side of Dimensions), I'll give it a 3-star system, with 1 meaning I didn't like it, 2 being that I thought it was okay, and 3 meaning I enjoyed it.

The Lego Batman Movie: 3 Stars
