Movies/TV Movie Box Office, Releases, and Discussion

The only one that looks good is Dog Days, mainly because it actually looks cute and interesting (plus I love dogs anyway so it's partial bias). The other three don't interest me one bit though, especially not a movie based on a dead creepypasta meme.

Weekend Box Office (August 10 - 12, 2018)

1 The Meg $44,500,000.00
2 Mission: Impossible - Fallout $20,000,000.00
3 Christopher Robin $12,430,000.00
4 Slender Man $11,325,000.00
5 BlacKkKlansman $10,799,000.00
6 The Spy Who Dumped Me $6,600,000.00
7 Mamma Mia 2 $5,820,000.00
8 The Equalizer 2 $5,500,000.00
9 Hotel Transylvania 3 $5,110,000.00
10 Ant-Man and the Wasp $4,048,000.00

I'm really surprised that The Meg is no.1 (which makes me wonder what would've happened if Disney actually finished developing this movie and what it would be like before the rights went to Warner Bros.), though I'm even more surprised that Slender Man is no.4 since I was expecting for it to not even be on this list. Though I'm sure after a while it'll drop down/not even be on the list again because I refuse to believe it'll still be ahead of the other six movies. (yes I really despise anything slender man related)

Anyway, I'm sad that Dog Days isn't on here, from what I've seen it looks to be pretty good. Regardless I'll still try to see it, if not I can just wait for DVD release and whenever it comes on the movie channels.

Searching
Plot: Told entirely from the point-of-view of a computer screen, a father searches his missing 15-year-old daughter's laptop and social media accounts in hopes of finding out what has happened to her.

Both Operation Finale and Kin does look good imo. Though I'll be skipping Searching, I don't really like movies being from the point-of-view of phones, computers, etc. as they can get too shaky in movement and that easily annoys me. (it's one reason why I didn't like the original Blair Witch Project, Unfriended, or Paranormal Activity)
