I might see Godzilla: King of the Monsters, mainly cause I've always loved the old Godzilla and other kaiju movies, so hopefully this one is good.

Pass on the other two though, especially Ma since, from advertisements I've seen at least, it looks really weird.

Dark Phoenix
Plot: The X-Men face their greatest threat yet, and this time it is one of their own. Jean Grey finds herself imbued with a cosmic power - one that greatly enhances her abilities, but also maker her unstable. With her power spiraling out of control and an alien force looking to harness that power, the X-Men will have to balance the life of their friend against that of humanity.

The Secret Life of Pets 2
Plot: The continuing adventures of Max, Gidget, Snowball, Buddy and the rest of the gang as they ponder new adventures in the city (and on the farm) while each dealing with some life-changing events from their respective owners.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I want to see the sequel of Secret Life of Pets the most out of the two though, since I'm not really too big into the X-Men heroes.

Though I have been seeing articles and reviews saying Dark Phoenix fell short, so Secret Life of Pets 2 might take the lead over Dark Phoenix but we'll have to see the weekend box office to see if it does or not. Regardless, I hope it does well since it looks good imo.

Not hearing good things about Dark Phoenix. It seems that the story focuses on the guys, rather than Jean Grey. If that's truly the case, I will definitely skip it.

I did catch Detective Pikachu and it is fantastic. Seriously, I loved it! If you can, go ahead and see it; ten to one your going to enjoy it.

Weekend Box Office (June 7 - 9, 2019)

1 The Secret Life of Pets 2 $47,115,000.00
2 Dark Phoenix $33,000,000.00
3 Aladdin $24,500,000.00
4 Godzilla: King of the Monsters $15,540,000.00
5 Rocketman $14,000,000.00

8 Avengers: Endgame $4,800,000.00
9 Pokemon Detective Pikachu $2,980,000.00
10 Booksmart $1,577,000.00

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is fun, to be honest; I was surprised just how much I enjoyed it. If you catch it in the theatre, stay through the credits. That's all I'll say.

Dark Phoenix was okay, but not great. Personally, I'd say you can wait until a home media or digital release. You can also leave during the credits, as there is no stinger. =/

06/14/19
Shaft
Plot: John "JJ" Shaft III. an MIT graduate and cyber-security expert, enlists the support of his father when his best friend dies under mysterious circumstances.

I want to see Godzilla. I'll probably give MiB:I a watch once it hits television. I'm a MiB fan, but not that big of one. Plus reboots/refreshes have been pretty hit-and-miss lately, with Godzilla and Cinderella being the only good ones I can recall.

But I'm going to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 with my nieces, since they've been freaking out over it for weeks.

Weekend Box Office (June 14 - 16, 2019)

1 MIB International $28,500,000.00

3 Aladdin $16,712,000.00
4 Dark Phoenix $9,005,000.00
5 Rocketman $8,800,000.00
6 Shaft $8,315,000.00
7 Godzilla: King of the Monsters $8,105,000.00

9 Late Night $5,136,734.00
10 Ma $3,610,000.00

The Secret Life of Pets 2 was awesome, Harrison Ford was great voicing Rooster, my new favorite character of the movies.

I still want to see Godzilla: King of the Monsters soon, hopefully. Though I'm kinda disappointed at seeing it bumped down from 4 to 7 in the box office.

06/21/19
Anna
Plot: Anna Poliatova is more than just a pretty face, because beneath her beauty is both strength and skill - and she uses it all to become one of the world's most feared government assassins.

06/21/19
Child's Play
Plot: A mother gift's her son the newest, high-tech Buddi doll, unaware it has been possessed by a dangerous, malevolent spirit.

06/21/19
Toy Story 4
Plot: Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang embark on a quest to track down Woody's love interest, Bo Peep.

The only one I wanna see is Toy Story 4, though Anna I might watch on TV if nothing else was on.

Definitely passing on Child's Play, imo it didn't need a remake (then again, Hollywood has been in a remake happy mood for a while so I shouldn't be surprised), not cause the original was amazing or anything but we just had another Chucky movie in 2017 and a TV series of this franchise is airing next year. I've been tired of this stupid doll for a while, hopefully this movie won't spawn more terrible sequels like the original did.

Weekend Box Office (June 21 - 23, 2019)
