Movies/TV Movie Box Office, Releases, and Discussion

I take it that the CG Lion King remake will be in the no.1 spot for a while then. Didn't expect Once Upon A Time in Hollywood to be no.2 though, from what I've seen in advertisements it doesn't interest me even though I do like Quentin Tarantino.

Expected Hobbs and Shaw to be a bit more popular than it was this weekend.

I recently started a new job in a cinema and they were giving a lot of hours this weekend due to the release of the film. But it really wasn't that busy at all. (Of course one cinema isn't a perfect point of view) but i'm sure others would have expected a bit more popularity with it.

My friend mentioned the same when she went to see Hobbs and Shaw, though she did go to an older theater to see it so that might be the reason why there weren't many others.

It looks to be good, I might go and see it since I do like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.

Out of all listed, I might see Brian Banks and The Art of Racing in the Rain. Those two interest me more compared to the others. Also, who asked for a Dora movie? I'm just surprised to see it at the no.4 spot, was thinking it'd be lower tbh.

I'll skip Brian Banks; the timing for that one is pretty awful. I'm somewhat interested in Dora, as it's Isabela Moner as the titular Dora, and she just happened to be in Transformers: The Last Knight. It also looks less than serious, so it might be fun.

I'm absolutely interested in Hobbs and Shaw, but I have no idea when I'll catch it, as I'm working later on Tuesdays now. (We have $5 movies on Tuesdays, so that's when I hit the theatre.)

It Chapter Two
Plot: Twenty-seven years after the Loser's Club stopped the entity known as Pennywise from preying on the children of Derry, Maine, the now-adult group gets called back to town. The evil they thought they had vanquished has returned - and now they will have to remember, and come together once again and stop evil for good - no matter the sacrifice.

Definitely avoiding IT Chapter Two. For a movie I'd want to see then Don't Let Go seems interesting, I actually kind of like "fix-it" type time travel stories, so this one catches my eye (and I have a feeling there is some twist, going by the description).

Not a huge fan of horror films, never been one for them. But I can see IT Chapter Two being a big release, that'll probably fill my cinema until Joker at the earliest. We're a month from it but from the things i've heard i'm really invested and looking forward to it.
