Movies/TV Movie Box Office, Releases, and Discussion

I finally saw The Addams Family a couple days before my birthday, and I enjoyed it so much. It really does have the feel of the '91 and '93 Addams Family movies, so that made me enjoy the animated film more. Also, I love how they brought back Kitty Kat from the older shows (live action and animated).

As for movies just listed, aside from Arctic Dogs none really catch my interest. Especially Terminator, getting kind of tired with that franchise tbh. Though I might give Motherless Brooklyn a chance if I can.

Agreed, I had the same thoughts when Genisys came out. I personally believe it should have been left as a trilogy. But thats just my two pennies.

Motherless Brooklyn does look interesting, I don't think it would usually be my type of film but for some reason i'm intrigued.

Here's what I've seen in theaters this year:

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Happy Death Day 2U

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Captain Marvel

Avengers: Endgame

Pokémon: Detective Pikachu

The only thing that interests me is Harriet. As of right now, the pickings seem slim when it comes to films.

Prime saw Joker and said it was brilliant, it was disturbing and he'd rather forget it exists. So I'm taking that as a hint to skip it.

I hate to tell you this, but I feel that the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog might out-gross Detective Pikachu, if the 800 thousand upvotes on the new trailer have anything to say (compared to the first trailer featuring the Sonic design that thousands criticized).

Saw Arctic Dogs and thought it was alright, nothing too great but I didn't think it was the worst movie like I've seen some reviews saying.

I do want to see Frozen II though I'm going to wait a bit for that. Theaters close in my area were packed because of Frozen II, so I decided to wait until, hopefully, the hype dies down after maybe a week.

So this is the first time I've even heard of Knives Out and I decided to look up the trailer, and it looks pretty interesting. A lot of A-list actors that I actually know of, and I'm down for a drama/thriller film so I might try and watch this before Frozen II.

Playmobil: The Movie
Plot: As the bond of a brother and sister are tested in the real world, their Playmoblil surrogates, an adventurous knight and brave viking, must come together in the fantastical toy world.

This weekend I'll be going to see Frozen II, cause I really want to watch it, so I'm hoping that maybe my theater won't be as packed on Saturday. Also glad to see Knives Out on the no.2 spot, I won't be able to catch this one before Frozen II though but maybe sometime soon I'll see it, hopefully.

Haven't heard of Playmobil: The Movie though, just looked it up and I'm kinda iffy on it. I guess it's based on a toyline of the same name, which I've also never heard of. Maybe I'll catch this one on TV if there's nothing else to watch.
