Big things are arriving for fans for Pokémon Masters EX as we get ever closer to the game's 2.5 year anniversary. In addition to the already running Poké Fair Scouts for Cyrus & Darkrai, and Dawn & Cresselia, a range of events and bonuses will be available to players over the coming weeks.

As part of the tie-in to the anniversary, the game's Pokémon Center lobby has received a makeover, with special decorations and background music. These changes will remain in place until March 16th at 9:59pm (PST). Four Event Gem Specials will also be available in the in-game shop until March 2nd, at 9:59pm (PST), offering discounted prices on paid gems.

Run-Up to 2.5 Years Celebration Bonuses
Two separate log-in bonuses will be offered to players over the coming weeks.

Firstly, players will be able to receive 30x 5★ Scout Tickets for each region by logging in for 4 days over the period until February 27th at 9:59pm (PST). These tickets can be used for 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scouts. As these scouts require 30 tickets, this effectively gives players 1 5★ Sync Pair for free from each region.
  • Day 1: 5★ Kanto Scout Ticket x30 and 5★ Johto Scout Ticket x30
  • Day 2: 5★ Hoenn Scout Ticket x30 and 5★ Sinnoh Scout Ticket x30
  • Day 3: 5★ Unova Scout Ticket x30 and 5★ Kalos Scout Ticket x30
  • Day 4: 5★ Alola Scout Ticket x30 and 5★ Galar Scout Ticket x30

A second daily log-in bonus, granting players a large quantity of gems simply for logging-in, will also be available. Players can receive these log-in bonuses up until March 2nd at 9:59pm (PST), so even if you miss a few days there's still time to receive all your gifts.
  • Day 1: Gems x 300
  • Day 2: Gems x 100
  • Day 3: Gems x 300
  • Day 4: Gems x 100
  • Day 5: Gems x 300
  • Day 6: Gems x 100
  • Day 7: Gems x 300
  • Day 8: Gems x 100
  • Day 9: Gems x 300
  • Day 10: Gems x 100
  • Day 11: Gems x 300
Additionally, a Mission Bingo will be available until February 27th at 9:59pm (PST), offering a variety of rewards including Gems for completing special missions.

Welcome Back Rally
In addition to the log-in bonuses directly associated with the Run-Up to 2.5 Years, players who have not logged in for 30 days or more will be able to take advantage of a special Welcome Back Rally, offering further log-in bonuses and special missions. These bonuses and missions will remain available until March 16th at 9:59pm (PST).

Sync Pair-Up Event: Blue and Arcanine
A special sync pair event allows players to team-up with the exclusive Blue & Arcanine Sync Pair, a Fire-type Strike role pair focusing, ironically enough, on Normal Type attacks, punishing opponents with it's devastating Hyper Beam. Their only Fire-type move is their Sync Move, Top Dog Fire Beam. This event will run through until March 16th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Blue & Arcanine will be aquired by players at 4★ rarity. By completing stages in this event, players will be rewarded with Event Voucher I items, which can be redeemed in the shop for 4★ Power-Up items to increase the pair's move level and potential, along with gems, Sync Orbs, and other items. This pair is not currently eligible to be raised to 6★ EX.

Villain Event Prelude: Looming Shadow of Kanto

Focused on Team Rocket, this event follows Giovanni as he launches his plans for Paiso. This event prelude originally ran from September 16th to October 16th, 2021. Players will receive Event Voucher J for completing battles in this event, which can be redeemed in the Exchange Items menu for a variety of items including Strike Move Candy Coins, 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets, and Custom Giovanni & Mewtwo Legendary Spirit that can be used to boost Giovanni & Mewtwo to 6★. Players will be able to obtain these rewards even if they previously completed the Villain Event during it's original run.

Unlike regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Kanto Sync Pairs, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00 p.m. (PST)
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
  • When the exchange period for the vouchers obtained in this event ends, leftover Event Voucher J items will be converted into coins (10 coins per voucher) and sent to each player's Present Box.

Red and Blue Poké Fair Scout:
5★ Red & Snorlax and 5★ Blue (Classic) & Aerodactyl are returning to Pokémon Masters EX in a limited-time Poké Fair Scout. Both of these pairs were available in their own individual Poké Fair Scouts during the original run of the Looming Shadow of Kanto event in 2021. As usual, 5★ Sync Pairs will have a 10% chance of appearing in this scout, with the two featured pairs will have a higher chance of appearing than other pairs. For more information on the rates for specific characters, go to the Offering Rate section on the Sync Pair Scout screen.

Red & Snorlax are a Fair-exclusive 5★ Normal-type Support sync pair with an expanded sync grid, with the ability to Gigantamax. Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX gives Red a blue and white outfit, in addition to raising the sync pair's stats.

Blue & Aerodactyl are a Fair-exclusive 5★ Rock-type Strike sync pair with an expanded sync grid, with the ability to Mega Evolve. Raising this sync pair to 6★ gives Blue a new grey outfit, in addition to raising the sync pair's stats.

This scout banner will remain available until March 6th at 9:59pm (PST) .Both of these fair-exclusive sync pairs may reappear in future Poké Fair Scouts.

Extreme Battle Event: Team Rocket Takedown

This event, which originally ran from September 18th to 30th, 2021, alongside the first run of the Villain Event Prelude: Looming Shadow of Kanto, pits players in an extreme battle against the Team Rocket leader, Giovanni. As suggested by the name, these battles are significantly more difficult than normal battles, and offer players a variety of rewards for completion. Players who completed the Extreme Battle Event during it's original run will still be able to receive all rewards.

Just like the Villaint Event Prelude, Kanto Sync Pairs will receive increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:
  • To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
  • The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
  • All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
