My Fakemon region and whatnot.

Which part of the world should our new Fakemon region be based on?

Some early route Pokemon in Uthingo include:
Foulchik (Flying, based on a guineafowl)
Hyrakurl (Normal, based on a hyrax)
Spidroll (Bug/Dark, based on a mix of huntsman and black widow spiders)
Derperch (Water/Normal), based on the Nile Perch
Proteeny (Grass, based on the protea plant and is humanoid)
Aardling (Ground, based on an aardvark)
Grimnu (Dark, based on a wildebeest)
Stenchog (Normal/Poison, based on a warthog)
Miruneko (Electric/Ground pikaclone based on a meerkat)

Oh my! Your starter is EVOLVING!
Congratulations! Your Crocacia/Pyrazelle/Lolquid has evolved into Thorndyle/Embok/Comiquid!
EDIT: They are still monotype... For now......

Shortly before your first gym battle, you are invited to get a second starter! They are very similar the ones that Trainers from other regions might be familiar with, but these are Uthingolese variants of Chikorita, Litten, and Sobble.
Uthingolese Chikorita is a Grass/Ground type resembling a cycad plant. Its final form is called Cycanium.
Uthingolese Litten has spots instead of stripes, and is a Fire/Ghost type. Melanistic leopard? Yup! Final form is called Pantheroar
Uthingolese Sobble is missing its crest, has yellowish stripes, and cries poison. Water/Poison, based on a Nile Monitor lizard. Final evo is Kengeleon.

The Gym Leader's Pokemon teams!
Petra, of the Hermistein Gym, uses Roggenrola and Uthingolese Rhyhorn
Reginald, of the Bahldor Gym, uses Litleo, Uthingolese Patrat, and Stenchog
Ignacia, of the Hefaston Gym, uses, Numel, Purrcheetah, and Uthingolese Hippopotas
Travis, of the Artimiza Gym, uses Tropius, Proteaktor (Grass/Steel, male evo of Proteeny), and Gogoat
Chai, of the Darlheim Gym, uses Corviknight, Talonflame, Foulabou (final form of Foulchik, Flying/Ghost), and Swellow
Ajamu, of the Wotind Gym, uses Stoutridge, Aardlord (Ground/Fighting, evolves from Aardling), Primandrill, and Uthingoles Falinks
Frieda, of the Skadingville Gym, uses Hyrakrystal (Normal/Ice, final form of Hyarkurl), Walrein, Eiscue, and Beartic
Celeste, of the Dreitapho Gym, uses Protincess (Grass/Fairy, female evo of Proteeny), Azumarill, Carbink, and Gardevoir

I have made a few changes to the main Uthingo starter final Evo trio.. Brutaspine is Grass/Poison, Vulkudu is Fire/Ground and Krakemmup is Water/Electric. The second set of starters will be regional variants of the Kanto starters.
Bulbasaur Grass/Fairy, Charmander Fire/Dark and Squirtle Water/Steel.

The final form names are Malvasaur Charmonitor and Capstoise. The lines are based on baobab trees, monitor lizards, and pirates respectively.

Might rework Uthingo into a somewhat different region called Ajomu (Umoja is Swahili for "Unity"), based on Kenya and Tanzania, which will divided into two subregional Pokedexes North and South. I will rework a lot of the Fakemon from my previous regions.
Still trying to figure out some semi-unique starters

try to guess what these three are supposed to be

New Uthingo starters!

Ujaleaf: The Plant Jackal Pokemon (Grass)
Vuroster: The Fire Rhino Pokemon (Fire)
Bubbra: The Bubble Snake Pokemon (Water)

Uthingoan trainers will encounter new Pokemon such as:
Hyraks: The Rock Climbing Pokemon (Normal)
Foulchik: The Tiny Vulture Pokemon (Flying)
Uthingoan Poochyena: The Scavenger Pokemon (Dark/Ground)
Uthingoan Yungoos: The Meerkat Pokemon (Fighting/Normal)
Ixabad: The Honey Badger Pokemon: (Dark)
Muddigrubb: The Beetle Larva Pokemon: (Bug)
Uthingoan Meowth: The Spotted Cat Pokemon (Electric)

Uthingo has been put on ice for now in favor of a return to the Nogland region, with a brand new starter trio!

Alligrout: the Plant Gator Pokémon
Oscorch: the Ember Ostrich Pokémon
Ursplash: the Float Bear Pokémon

Some early route Pokémon you might see include
Scutench: The Shield Bug Pokémon
Noglandean Hoothoot: the Snowy Owl Pokémon
Possplay: The Opossum Pokémon
Noglandean Yungoos: the Skunk Pokémon
Noglandean Ekans: The Red Snake Pokémon
Alcalf: the baby moose Pokémon
Noglandean Spinarak: the dark spider Pokémon

Your Noglandean starter is evolving!
Alligrout evolves into Jawwood, Oscorch evolves into Struthisinge! Ursplash evolved into Bearqua!

They all remain monotype for now... But once they evolve into Taigator, Burstrich, and Artibrawl, they gain the rock, flying, and fighting type respectively.

The Inama region is based on Kenya!
The starters are Hynyasi, Motovark, and Majippo. Their names are derived from the Swahili words for the starter types and the English words for the three animals these new Pokemon are based on.

Edit: feel free to guess what they are and what their final evo types might be

Yes. Also the region is now called Pumoja, based on both Kenya and Tanzania, and the starter names are now Nyacruta, Motovark and Hyppoko. A grass hyena, fire aardvark and water hippopotamus.
