Odds are they caught the person doing the leaks.

Japan: 7 PM. Very late, I guess we'll have to wait until the official date.

Re: Gen V Starter Discussion

YES, that's exactly what I want, except I'd like a water BARZZ. Maybe start with a black bear and work up through grizzly to polar?

EDIT: The top one that is, those are the ones I want!

They are pretty nice, but the left one seems like a fusion of Treecko and Totodile don't ya think?

There isn't one guy who goes around and leaks things, it's whoever is able to quickly riffle through the magazine as they put it up on the shelf and take a picture with their phone. Chances are they just haven't been shelved or in storage yet.

There are two full days before the 15th, the fact we don't have them on the 12th doesn't mean we can't get them on the 13th or 14th.

The orb on the end of the middle one's tail is making me question. Pokemon with orbs as body parts include an assortment of pokemon like Dragonair, Spoink, and the Mareep line. I'm wondering what it could be in relation to the starters, most likely the fire type.

EDIT: Oh snap, so snooty grass type, pig, and otter. Called the otter the minute we saw the silhouettes.

Damn quite a people who got close (especially the black and red pig (except the yellow)), except whatever the hell that water type thing is. I suppose it could be an otter, but it's extremely white. But hey love the seashell.

Otters crack shells open while floating on their backs all the time. That's what it's a reference to.

I like them all. And the characters are older this time? Or am I reading something wrong?

Still take all this with a grain of salt, guys; the region name may have been floating around the net for a while before this, and the pages are numbered left-to-right, which is different from normal for CoroCoro. But the art does look real.

I think the otter looks a bit weird, personally, as does the lizard. And that pig is just too damn happy. XD

Older characters? Sweet! Hopefully we'll get a more mature plot of something

Re: Gen V Starter Discussion

I gotta say, this is the first time I've not really liked any of the starter designs. Sorry Sugimori old bean, but none of these mooks float my boat.

Ahh well. Maybe the anime will change my mind eventually.

The trainer designs are pretty rad though. I can't believe people were ragging on the male trainer all the time. Unless the bottom part of his trousers are rainbow colored and littered with baubles, I see nothing wrong with him. Girlie is also cool.

Re: Gen V Starter Discussion

Not quite what I expected, but I'm not disappointed. However, now I really want to know what the evolved forms look like. Specifically for the fre starter. But I can wait... for a little while... I hope... *explodes*

On another note, do you think anyone will have an "issue" with the name of the new region? :-D

...

I don't know if it somehow is fake, they bothered way too much on the battle scene, even including a likely attack,

Re: Gen V Starter Discussion

I really really like the otter. There's still hope it could evolve into a polar bear, which would be great. Flaming boar on the fire type, and Epidexipteryx like thing on the grass starter. It's body in the sprite looks kinda like it's standing like a bird, and the body says reptile, so those things are kinda like combinations of the two.

Re: Gen V Starter Discussion

Augghhh I once again took too long to try to draw these myself before the real ones came out. I guess I was legitimately busy this time though....

I want to say the water starter doesn't look "quite right" in terms of the design style Pokemon uses, and in terms of how it's ugly in general. So I'm kinda hoping it's a fake in that sense.

Grass dude owns, though.
