So. Finally got into the Dream World.
To catch Pokemon, you have to cross the Rainbow Bridge, then you have 10 steps until you reach the Dream Tree. During those ten steps you can meet Pokemon, see shaking areas(which hide Pokemon or items) or see sparkling areas(which are items). When you encounter a Pokemon you can play a minigame with it for it to become your friend if you win the minigame(though it doesn't always work it seems, I won a minigame from an Igglybuff and it didn't become a friend...). Then, once you use up all your 10 steps, you arrive at the wish-granting Dream Tree, and can see the Pokemon that most recently had their wishes granted. By offering a berry your Pokemon can wish for one of it's friends to become real and turn up in the Hi Link forest.(The rest appear to be lost :( )

Then, you're back at your home and get told you have to pick up the Pokemon in the Hi Link forest before you can go across the rainbow bridge again I think. To transfer items, go into your house and choose the treasure chest. You can then click the button "Send >" next to an item and a list will pop up of items to be sent to your game. These items you can then pick up from a boy to the left of the entrance to the Hi Link forest.

You can also order stuff from the Dream Catalogue with the berries you have, so you might not want to send all of them over.

In the Dream Catalogue, you can buy things like furniture, watering cans, or even new islands. There seems to be some sort of unlocking procedure, I unlocked a pile of stuff in the catalogue when I got back from the Dream Tree. I guess you can also buy better catalogues that have more stuff.(the normal one is called 'Ordinary Catalogue')

The shelves are used to trade items *with other Dream World users*, and probably depend on your friend list. In one of the tutorials I was shown a friend map where you can go to other homes but my friend list is empty. :< When someone visits you, you can see their footprints on the doormat I guess.

On the Friend Board you can see the Pokemon you've recently befriended and caught in your game. Makomo warns you that the noticeboard can only hold 50 Pokemon so I don't know if after that they'll auto-delete or you just can't befriend any more.

And that's about it I think. Most of the stuff in the catalogue costs lots of berries though so it might be worth saving up if you want it, I don't know if there are advantages to stuff like furniture though or if it's just to make it look pretty.

When you choose what Pokemon to wish for at the Dream Tree, you can see each Pokemon's sex and ability, and a move it will know.

Anyway, now to pick up my Flame Body Ponyta and 2 Nest Balls in my Black.

EDIT: here's a list of everything in my catalogue, with prices:

Remember back when Yanakkii was first leaked?
yanappuevo.png

Its eyebrows were yellow and its pompadour sported white dots instead of yellow ones.

Could this of been a beta Yanakkii or was the sprite made/altered by the secret source?

Haha. That reminds when we were all tricked into believing that fugly Grass Owl was real. xD

Me too. It took a while for it to grew on me, but I certainly prefer it to Grimer and Muk now. It's kind of... cute, actually.

It's adorable!

but the smell...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Yabukuron is cute/Awesome.
Dasutodasu isn't cute, but I think he's awesome on another level. I don't know why, but he's the only poison type I actually love. And I normally HATE garbage.

Who wants to bet a character in the anime sending out Yabukuron or Dasutodasu will say something along the lines of "It's time to take out the garbage!"

That would be funny.

When you choose what Pokemon to wish for at the Dream Tree, you can see each Pokemon's nature, sex and ability.

Wrong; that's not the nature but one of the moves the Pokémon knows. The nature can be any and it's only set until you catch the Pokémon in the High Link Forest, so you can save before going to the High Link in your game and soft-reset for a good nature and IVs.

By the way, you aren't forced to use the Dream Ball to capture the Pokémon as any other ball will do the trick (i.e. any ball will successfully catch the Pokémon always), though it's a pretty nice choice: it got a custom animation and only appears when you're in the High Link Forest.

Pururiru looks much better in this picture than in the sprite I think, I like it a bit more now. :)

Ah yeah, somehow I missed that... that whole writeup except for the catalogue stuff was from me trying to remember what was there. I'll go edit my post.

I gotta say, hands down my favorite of the new ones has got to be the Candle Trio. Ghost/Fire and the look of them, I can't wait to snag one and start leveling in Ishuu!

After them, the Ghost robots heh. I look forward to seeing where Nin.NA goes with their name puns this time around.

Wait, so the Pokémon appearing is automatic? 'Cos I got my Munna skin, but not my Surskit.

Have you been to the Hi Link forest and caught it yet?
Surskit isn't in the High Link :S It's on my profile under the recently met column, and it's on my notice board, unlike the Rattata that escaped.
