No. They're part of separate evolution lines, but they're counterparts, like Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.

But they don't evolve into anything...yet.

And Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan do have a base Pre-Evo

A better analogy maybe?

(then again this is starting out like the hitmons did, they could always make a Tyrouge for Dageki and Nageki)

I think a "Tyrouge" for Nageki and Nageki wouls be so awesome. I also think it'd be cool if there was a "Hitmontop" added to their line as well.

Well, all four of them are Fighting-type. Just like Mamepato feels like the Pidgey of this game, and Miruhoggu the Ratatta of the game, Dageki and Nageki feel most like the Hitmons. To me, at least. And like you said, Tyrouge wasn't introduced until the second generation (that being said, I'd rather GameFreak leave these two simply counterparts).

Same

Though I don't see Mamepato as "Pidgey of this game" as much as "Bird of this game"

Yanno, the usual Strong Normal/Flying type birds of the region
(I'd say 3-stage, but Swellow is two stage)

Doesn't that mean the same thing? :p

I used Pidgey specifically as I was trying to use Generation 1 analogies. But yeah, it's more correct to call it the regional bird of the game.

Speaking of Mamepato...I wonder why they made the Mamepato line so lacking, especially with how well balanced the Starly line was. Mamepato didn't even get Brave Bird, and it's two main stats are lower than Starly/Staravia/Staraptor's.

Haha, sorry. I don't like Pidgey as much as Mamepato :p Which is probably why
Mamepato is my favorite Regional Bird, while Tailow is 2nd

I don't think it's lacking. Staravia is a powerhouse, while Kenhorou is not. I like differences in my birds.

Mamepato and its evolutions seem to be more defense-orientated. Kenhorou can take physical hits pretty well, it still has respectable Attack and Speed, and its base stat total is actually higher than Staraptor's (if only by a mere 3 points).

But otherwise, I'm inclined to agree. Its movepool isn't as good, and neither are its abilities.

Me too, but I wish if it were more defence-oriented its defences would be higher, especially its terrible sp.def

Wow, I didn't even notice its BST is higher. Just goes to show that where the stats are put makes a big difference.

I know, but what'cha gonna do, right?

I guess the next regional bird could be defense based, but I wonder what kind of bird they'd use for that as inspiration, haha.

Maybe another owl XD I also hope the next bird whether it's an owl or not, uses special attacks. It'd be nice if it were a more offensive noctowl.

In the Filipino language, pato means turkey. hmmm.... Mamepato?

Anyway, what exactly is mamepato's line? Is it a pigeon? A pheasant? or a Turkey??

It's a pigeon.

Kenhorou looks like a Pheasant/Turkey mixed with a pigeon though.

Mamepato may be a combination of 忠実 mame, diligent, and ハト hato, pigeon. It may also be a play on ハート heart, referring to the heart-shaped mark on its chest.

Ah i see. Kenhorou made me think that it was something else other than a pigeon, because of its alternate forme.

Well, they wanted to make it three stages. Kenhorou's male Form was a better choice than making a giant pigeon, at least in my opinion.

The man-pigeon is just showing typical sexual dimorphism found in some birds, though not pigeons.
