Type possibilities: Electric/Fairy or Dark

i doubt yamper will become electric dark since morpeko exists

I doubt Poteageist will have an evolution, it seems like it will be the mimikyu of the region; the cute ghost fan favorite that doesn't evolve. unless mimikyu does evolve

I’ve seen some speculation that Polteageist might evolve into a teapot elephant seen in an earlier trailer.

I feel Polteageist is a single stage. Having the ability Weak Armor implies it might have bulk to last some damage for the first hit

The teapot becomes bigger to resemble an elephant. The ghost will still be an (evolved) ghost inside the elephant shaped teapot.

I can’t let go of the idea of a Fire/Ghost teapot elephant containing Masala Chai I mentioned in the leak thread...

What’s cool is that Polteageist will probably learn Scald making it one of very few non-aquatic, semi-aquatic, or Water-type Pokémon to do so. I think the only other ones are Emboar, Mew, and the Crabrawler family.

Well, my logic was that tea's supposed to be hot, and "Masala chai"'s literal translation (popular tea in US and UK, originated from India, prior British colony) is "Spicy tea". It’s supposed to have lots of flavour with hints of some spices, giving my idea a fiery touch.

Not all species of crab are. Crabrawler and Crabominable are found in trees rather than water.

I love both Polteageist and Cramorant. Probably won't use Cramorant though because I'm starting with Sobble and I don't like to repeat types.

Why would a ghost become an elephant?

imo it doesn't really look like an elephant, kinda just looks like a bigger teapot. There's no ears or tusks, and it looks like there is a handle (or some oddly shaped tail) on it's backside. Another thing to consider is that it could be a long-necked dinosaur sort of thing.

hmmmm... the types I'd associate with with cooking is... fire, grass, fairy, and maybe poison? All those besides poison are taken though...
