Swellow all the way. Its mediocre BST is redeemed by fantastic distribution, while its ability tops off its potential as a fantastic revenge killer.

I think Noctowl is good in battle if you do it right. I don't know anything about competitive battling but any in-game Noctowl I've had has been able to handle itself well, and has been incredibly useful the whole way through the story.

Same here! In Platinum, I used my Noctowl through the whole game, and against the Elite Four, and he was badass.
Plus, Noctowl destroys Swellow in the looks department. I love owls, and Noctowl has been one of my favorites for years.

Noctowl all the way! Had him in Heartgold and now in X. I don't see why People don't ike him. Plus he has the extra pschic moves+ powereful flying moves which Swellow does not!

Swellow, it is much faster and has a cooler, sleek design. Noctowl is rather bland and generic, but at least it is better than Toucannon.
