The allowance of non-Pokemon threads had always been a grey area. ...Let's just toss that.

First decree of the new year: threads on any non-Pokémon fandom 'shipping topic are now fully allowed. Try to make it fandom general (Glee 'ship discussion; Sherlock Holmes movie 'ship discussion; Homestuck 'ship discussion) instead of pairing general, though.

Please do note:
We are not allowing any threads based on real people--living or otherwise--unless they are fictionalized versions of themselves (such as historical people in books, video games, movies, etc). So Sengoku Basara, The Tudors, and the like, you're good to go.

That said, absolutely no threads based on board members and forum users (even if you've written about them in a highly fictionalized manner), whether here or elsewhere. Leave that for the groups.

Shouldn't there be a separate section for those, since it is a Pokemon-centric site? Give special clearance for the Pokemon ones but have a subsection for other series? That way Pokemon shipping threads won't get buried in every series that exists?

We did think of that. There no point in making a subsection if the non-pogey threads do not get so intrusive to the section, either made and dying in a scant number of posts or not many are made to begin with.

If and when the need calls for it, we'll be ready with a subsection to place them specifically.

This may come across as offhand, but... with this addition of a Non-Pokemon shipping discussion, then are we allowed to have a general Pokemon x Crossover thread, or not? ^^"

Please note: The thread is from 12 years ago.
Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
