A blink and you'll miss it thing too: Tono and even Eddie were sympathetic. Really makes Volkner's extreme reaction stand out, doesn't it? There's actually a minor explanation for it, but that's next chapter.Man, if you were intending to make me hate Volkner, then guess what? You succeeded. I mean, he finds out one of his trainers got a concussion and nearly died and gives him basically no rest or sympathy whatsoever? Even going as far as saying "Should have thought of that before you got hurt" like he thought Nori only got hurt to get out of training! I absolutely hate people like that, who try to claim the victim is at fault for something that was out of their control.
As the saying goes, love makes you do crazy things. Getting braver is part of it, but it's certainly being partially driven by his friendship and feelings to Nori.On the other hand, Lux actually speaking up for Nori, telling people to give him space, and calling out Volkner and the gym trainers for their methods is great character development on his end. He's becoming braver and more willing to speak out against injustices, whether it be against himself or his first.
LIke I said, 'why are you bringing this person over and not training'.Still wondering why Volkner seems to hate it whenever Lux visits, though.
Heh, that didn't occur to me. Wasn't intentional. Although in Kallisto's father's case, he probably wasn't in a good state of mind, instead of being evil like Caiseal's parents. For the record, his death was accidental: I was actually going to put the full version of what happened, until deciding it didn't make sense for Kallisto to openly talk about bad memories. But, he fell asleep with a lit cigar, and it ended up catching something on fire. It spread from there. He was probably gone by the the Kallisto was woken up, really.Good to see some expanded background on Kallisto as well. It feels like a darker version of my Caiseal's backstory, only yours involved death, arson, and suicide (Accidental or intentional?),
They pretty much already are, leaving aside the awkwardness with the rest of the Gym Trainers.and I'm happy he managed to come out of it mostly okay, what with the rest of his family coming to help him out. I do hope he and Nori can become friends to some degree.
Isn't the first time she's kissed him. Is the first time she's given him a wet kiss, and attention has been drawn to it. Probably from being from Lux's perspective seeing it too helped with drawing the attention. It was nice to see Jamie show some genuine concern for him, even if she comes across as smothering. Didn't expect her to outright kiss him on the cheek there. LOL.
