"That's what I want to hear," Aya gave Colt another small kiss before moving back from him. "Everything will work out," she looked back to the diary, turning to another page. "First thing's first... figure out what the hell these 'sigils' are, and what they tie into with these Harbingers within... three days."

"That would be an impossibility," Maximilian said, walking slowly toward them.

Aya looked to the man, before turning back. "No choice in the matter."

Maximilian nodded. "Yes, I gathered that. It's why I've come proposing a solution to your issue."

She looked at him. "We'll take anything that helps."

He let out a small chuckle. "It's called Deep Study. You'll like it."

"Hm," Eileen looked down at Metzli before speaking. "She's resonating with something. Something inside of this veil. Tell me where it is so that I can get a handle on it, kay?"

--

"We need to sedate her," one of the doctors said. "Release more voltage and sedatives!"

The result was another round of shocks being released into Robin, with her IV pumping in sedatives to try and calm her. The amount used was a bit larger this time, though definitely not enough to stop her completely.

Rose nodded to Adam. "Though, it's for a good reaso-" when Adam talked about the guest he thought they were receiving, she spoke. "No, why?"

That was when the alarm went off in the base. A Level 3 threat. "Are you serious?" Rose tapped her screen, pulling up the cameras. "What is she doing here?!" She stood from her seat, picking up gun from her desk. "Caldura, Adam, let's move." @Charles Dunois;

On the outside, a number of soldiers had gathered around Kat. Their rifles were drawn, and their postures were rigid; obviously very cautious about the girl, considering she had broken out of Null's incarceration. "Get on the ground, now!" One of them ordered.

"Deep Study?" Colt asked, not having heard of this term before. "Explain?" He requested.

Kat simply chuckled at the request, shaking her head. "I'm not some mere prisoner... after all last time you all tried to hold me it didn't go so well." She remarked with a smile. "So no, I will not be getting on the ground."

"Hyde...I have heard her call him. He has.....been studying her, it...seems." The hydra replied, getting up to wander on his own. Despite weighing a little more than a few tons, he moved in complete silence, save for the very faint hum coming from the machine part of his body.

Metzli's eyes closed once more, as she began to fall into a deeper sleep than before. The sigils on her back looked crimson red, soon glowing in the color of fire. The ancient language and symbols began to burn with literal flame, charring up the backside of her shirt; it even was starting to burn the skin around the searing markings. She could feel the hot, intense pain, though couldn't wake up for whatever reason.

"Well this should be fun," Adam pointed out with a grin before vanishing from in front of Rose, this time reappearing at the entrance where Kat and the guards, standing in between them as he smiled at Kat. "Hello there Miss, you must be the girl my friend Colt has been talking about," he stated with mock formality, turning towards the guards and waving his hands. "You guys can move back a bit if you'd like."

"Miss?" Kat asked Adam incredulously, clearly amused. "Haven't heard someone call me Miss in who knows how long." She said with a smile. "They call me Kat. And yes, I'm most likely the girl you've heard all about from Colt... I do have to wonder if him talking about me all the time amuses his mate though." She mused, clearly knowing something. "Anyways, you and I have a lot to discuss."

Adam couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as he heard her say the word mate. "Oh you were looking for me? I'm flattered," he stated with a fake shocked expression before nodding his head. "But seriously what business are you here to attend to?"

"Well not you specifically, but due to the fact that Colt doesn't have a gun to my head, I know he's not here." Kat mused. "And I'm here because I have things that you all need to know. Namely that there's a calamity coming and they're going to destroy this entire city." She sighed. "You also have my brother here in custody, and I'd like to see him as well."

Rose walked up to the surrounding soldiers. "Listen to Agent Noir," her eyes landed on Kat, narrowing at the sight of the girl. She was an escapee. "Cephalon, dampener status."

Cephalon spoke after a short silence. "Dampener at full capacity," the dampener was made to keep intruding Riftwalkers from using their abilities while inside of the the Null HQ. It was created some time after the building was taken over.

"Now, stand down and come with me, or we'll simply shoot to kill," Rose pointed her .

One of the soldiers took the chance, however, to move at the girl, ready to try and cuff her. His movements were slow, able to be easily read.

--

"It's something we've perfected; a series of runes that focuses our minds. Then, using temporal displacement, we accelerate time so that your studies last longer in a shorter amount of time," Maximilian explained.

"That's... amazing," Aya seemed to be saying that a lot during the entire mission.

"Yes, it is," Maximilian turned to begin walking. "Follow me if you wish to get started."

Aya looked to Colt before nodding. "Let's do it."

"Hyde..." Eileen whispered to herself. It was a name she hadn't heard in a long time. "Alright. This is going to be rough, but I can probably help you here..."

Getting to one knee next to Metzli, Eileen spoke. "So, this curse you have - the blood curse of the Helios'... I've seen this before. So, I'm going to give you something," holding out her hand, she let a collection of ethereal energy gather in it. "This is a spell. A 'counter-curse', I like to call it. It's a drywall that'll keep whatever the hell it is at bay until you get enough headway to stop it."

The energy began to seep into Metzli's body; in an instant, she would feel her mind beginning to clear. "Now, whatever you do.... don't scratch that wall."

Colt nodded in agreement. "Let's do this." He echoed Aya's words.

Kat rolled her eyes at the actions of the trooper who attempted to cuff her. Even with the dampener in place, she quickly slid to her left before dropping the trooper with a chop to the neck with her right hand. She smiled at Rose. "I don't like handcuffs." Kat explained, holding her hands up to show she meant no harm.

"Rose I think we can trust her," Adam pointed out, smiling at Kat before walking over and standing next to her. "I mean this is the girl that put Colt out of commission, sure he was distracted but if she was here to cause trouble wouldn't she just have blasted all these useless fodder already?" he explained with a shrug.

Metzli looked like she was stirring again, letting out a grunt of pain. The burning had intensified once the energy had seeped in, but after a minute or two it began to dull until it was nothing more than the throb of burning skin. The backside of her shirt had almost completely charred away, revealing the fire-colored prophecy and the twin symbols of the sun and moon. The skin was darkened, burnt and irritated. It was like someone had written on her back with fire.

After several more minutes, Metzli's eyes slowly flickered open. She sat up, wincing at the burning pain in her back.

Robin swore through her clenched teeth while she got both sedated and electrocuted again but remained to smile her sickly smile. Adrenaline was flowing through her body and with a couple more wild thrashes Robin's hands were free. She hysterically laughed with glee and flexed her now free hands and ripped off the remaining restraints - it had seemed thay null had underestimated her strength.

Now free, Robin yanked the IV drip out of her body and locked her eyes with the camera's that studied her every move. She curtseyed and stuck her tongue out of them before continuing to laugh and used the IV drip to smash them to smithereens.

She pushed her bed to the wall and climbed onto it before she yanked the cover of an air vent off and slid in, before replacing the lid again and crawling through. She had memerised a map of the null HQ when she had first arrived so she could get around which included the air vent system. Robin Freebird was now free and was roaming around and heading to one of the air vente msny exits.

Andromeda looked down as her phone rang, picking it up she answered with a simple "Hello?"

"Hello Andromeda," A southern accent said.

Andromeda must have showed some strange reaction as everyone was suddenly looking at her to see what she would say. "Maizy. What a nice surprise. How have you been?" she started, walking away from the others and into her room privately. "Fuehrer, why are you calling?" she asked the voice.

"I got a special mission for ya'll. So listen closely," the souther voice chuckled.

Caldura wasn't going to pretend she had any idea what was going on. Rather than risk looking like a fool, she simply stood next to Rose and silently glared at Kat, secretly hoping the girl was here to cause trouble. Then, maybe she'd be useful.

Rose looked down at the soldier. "You... deserved that."

The soldier moved in to bring Kat into the interrogation room, led by Rose and Adam. It was going to be an interesting time, she could tell.

-------------

(Baby skip inbound, hold the line.)

Eileen exited the room with Metzli, the girl having woken up. "Alright, so I promised to answer any question I could. So, ask away."

On another side of the building, Aya and Colt had been taken to a section to perform their Deep Study. Locked away with runes that sealed them in, Aya had requested that time be accelerated by 15 times normal. It was a relatively small amount, compared to the largest that Orion could feasibly do, but Aya planned for them to stay for seven days. That would equate to 105 days worth of studying for the battle ahead. With each finding, Aya planned to record it down for her own use later.

"Alright, day one... let's get to work," she said, starting to read a book.

--

The group had been tasked to go on another mission. Robin was definitely unfit to go on a mission, as it stood. Thus, she was required to stay and recover, stuck inside of a locked room after they had captured the fleeing girl. There weren't any feasible escape paths, and it was more heavily guarded.

With Aya, Metzli and Colt gone, the vast majority of Sector IV had gone missing. Thus, Kalus had to make due with who was there. He, Adam, Nicol, Marissa, and Nero were set to go on the mission. Inbound toward the drop area by an armored land vehicle, the Agent Commander briefed them on their mission. "So, here's how things are going to work. I'm here for supervision and making sure the shipment arrives as planned. Adam, here, is leading the attack should things get messy."

Nero raised an eyebrow. "Why him, specifically?"

Kalus looked to the sniper. "Cause. He has more intel on the idiots thinking they're gonna get the drop on us."

The younger male looked to Adam. "You do?"

Rose sat in the interrogation room with Kat. The girl was cuffed to the chair, dampeners in the room to prevent her from using her Riftwalker abilities. Eyeing her a bit, Rose spoke. "Seems like we've been in this situation before. Still not planning on talking?"

Metzli got to her feet, albeit painstakingly. She studied Eileen, finally opening her mouth to talk.

"I doubt you know the answer, but.. why do you think Hyde led me here? And, what about that article on the Physician's Cure? It was in a language even I don't fully understand." It's also aggravating me that I can't understand it, she thought, annoyed at the prospect of being incapable to understand it.

"Boy, it's funny how often you kids underestimate adults," Eileen shook her head amusedly. "And how much you overestimate yourselves. Of course you don't know the language; it's Elysian. You're, what, 14? I doubt you'd know anything about it. Hell, you barely know anything."

She crossed her arms, leaning on the wall. "Hyde led you here precisely for that reason."

"I wouldn't call knowing five ancient languages and ten modern languages 'nothing'." She remarked, glancing away for a moment. "Most adults I've asked have no idea what I'm talking about, most of the time."

"Oh, I'm impressed! You talked to a bunch of human adults who barely know anything outside of their own countries about ancient languages," Eileen nodded. "Commendable. Tell me. What's an Emissary?"
