"Far from okay," she muttered lowly. She rubbed her temples, gritting her teeth behind an emotionless expression. It felt as if her muscles had finally given up on her, resulting in Metzli sinking down to her knees. "Can't move. My back feels like it's on fire." she told them with a smile, though it was an ironic, sad one. She supposed the latter sentence was true; she was surprised she'd ignored the pain of the burns for this long.

Alistair simply shrugged. "Michael might know, you never can really expect father's actions."

--

Aya got off of Colt, going over to Metzli. "Metz... are you going to tell us what is exactly up with you?" Aya knew that the girl was cursed - that much was told to them by Eileen. "By this point, we have the right to know."

Colt nodded, agreeing with Aya's assessment of the situation. He could definitely understand Metz's wish to hide what she was, given his own demons, but at the same time they needed to know what was wrong. So they could put containment protocols in and all that.

"So you're not going to help me." Kat sighed. "You don't have anything useful for me?"

"The answer...is right in front of you." She grumbled, "though I highly doubt...that you can read it." Her hands finally met the floor, slanting her back that even at the slightest angle, the scorch marks were visible. Sucking in a deep breath, she tried to get up, though miserably couldn't. In fatigue and defeat, she resorted to leaned back against the wall in a sitting position. She looked genuinely frustrated.

Fuehrer, as was the nickname the Riftborne leader had her followers call her, entered the club. Her hair was pink and half was down, meanwhile the other half was pulled up in a spiky ponytail. That that was down worked to shade her face so as not to draw attention to her single left blue eye, and the missing right one that had no flesh below it. Her green dress was loose, and low cut, showing just what she was packing under it. Her smile was alluring, and almost defeated the purpose of her hair hiding part of her face. And of course her heels matched. She walked right up to a male in the club, that smirk plastered on her face. "Hello Riprid," she purred in her country accent.

((This is not happening at the same time as everything else.))

Kathy had made her way into the cargo ship and to the room where they were keeping all of the supplies and technology being sent to Null. She wasn't much of a fighter but she was certainly good at sneaking around, good enough to be able to get the better of the guards and tazing them just enough to allow herself access into the room. "Well, guess I better start taking care of this thing," she added laizily before spreading her left arm out. As she did this a black hole appeared in front of it, beginning to suck in the cargo that was in front of her while she set up some smoke and normal grenades around the entrances. "I'm glad these are modified," she sigihed in relief, the grenades had been set up so that they would only set off if someone approached them carelessly.

Adam punched at a crat in an attempt to hit Kane, causing him to feel the brunt of the crash on his fist as he stepped back, panting and brushing blood off from his mouth as he looked at his opponent. "Tired already?" Kane asked, he was bruised but seemed to still have a lot more to give. "I guess you're not one for having a lot of stamina."

"Shut up," Adam growled, charging forward once more and proceeding to fire out a pair of shadow covered knives, though they were quickly thrown aside by Kane.

"You know weren't you in charge of this mission? it kind of seems like you're ignoring the people you're supposed to lead," Kane added, a wicked smile on his face, though Adam simply glared at him.

'Well what about you?" he questioned, noticing the fight going on between Minam and Marissa at the moment, noticing that the man was barely able to avoid Marissa's attack, though in doing so he had tripped and fallen to the floor.. "Looks like you allowed Minam to get into a tough spot."

"Not really," Kane shook his head, shrugging slightly before raising his left arm and clicking his fingers. "It's time for you to appear too Pandora!" he announced, a name that made Adam gasp with just hearing it.

Lucky noticed that Nero went back to hiding, causing him to groan. "Guess you're a sneaky one. Will I be bale to find him?" he pointed out with a frown as he threw a coin, getting heads. 'Shit," he groaned. "Hmmmm...will I dodge his next shot?" he muttered as he threw it again, getting a tails this time and smiling widely.

The moment her name was said, the battlefield began to distort; the ground shifted, and the Null agents would feel a loud thumping in their heads, made to impair them.

On top of a crate, Pandora stood with a wide grin and her arms crossed. "You made the right choice, LiteBrite," she said to Kane. With the cock of her head, Marissa would feel her mind begin to emit a piercing resonance. While that happened, Minam would find himself saved by a Pandora clone swooping in to get him away from Marissa.

"You're a weakass," she commented at the boy, dropping him on his butt on top of a crate.

Kalus leaped down from another crate, turning back to see the monstrosity still running at him. He was getting a bit worn out just dodging around it. "Alright big guy..." Kalus stood from his kneeling position, holding out his hand.

The creature sent a punch at him, only for the attack to hit nothing but restrictive force. It roared as it tried to push against it, with Kalus only clicking his tongue. "Sorry. I'm in control, now..."

The beast was then sent back, its body blasting apart from the force instantaneously. Then, the fusion broke, and the two Riftwalkers rolled onto the ground away from each other.

The Agent Commander looked down at the two, shaking his head before looking over. The summoning over at the large-scale battle hadn't gone off his radar. "Did they really summon a Harbinger here?"

**

Inside of the cargo hold, a gunshot rang out aimed towards Kathy. At the other end of the rifle was the captain of the ship. "I think you need to get out of here."

He cocked the gun again. "And don't bother moving - these are anti-Riftwalker rounds."

--

"Haha... do you have any idea what father would do to me... what that man would have father do to me?" Alistair asked. "Do you realize how inconsequential I am now that I've been captured?"

Rose narrowed her eyes. She didn't dare say anything, not wanting to risk any sort of screwup.

"It's... it's a damn shame. A damn shame, indeed. Our father, the man who could blow away mountains and reshape nations. The man said to carry the tools of the apocalypse - those very tools he trained..." Alistair leaned his head back. "From that obscuring come the riders of the end. Aboard their steeds of ash and fire, they trample the world, turning it to dust," he was speaking a different language - one Kat would be able to understand: Elysian.

Rose was surprised to hear it. "Is that...?"

--

"Hello, Fuhrer," Ripred replied calmly, giving her a smile. "I'm glad you could join me tonight."

The two of them were on a rooftop overlooking the city - Ripred's favorite vantage point. The moon was full tonight, his favorite phase. Pure, but only partially illuminating the darkness. Even for a man like him, the beauty of nature juxtaposed to the urbanized land was enough to make him stop and marvel.

Of course, the way Fuhrer looked in the moonlight also held his attention. He held out his hand to her. "The pleasure is mine to be in the company of such a beautiful lady."

Kat nodded at Rose's question. "Elysian yes. I hate it when he does that... the tongue gives me a headache for some reason... but he knows exactly what he's doing to me." She mused, completely amused by it. Glaring at Alistair now, she spoke in Elysian for her brother's benefit. Don't you understand brother. This isn't about Father anymore, we don't need him. With you and Colt by my side, we can kill father, kill the old man, kill Ripred and Kane and all the rest... This world will be ours... I don't want to cause the end of the world anymore, I want to be the queen of all creation.

"The queen of creation... you?" Alistair shook his head. "No. It's not possible; not for someone like you - someone like us."

"And why not brother?" Kat asked Alistair, grinning at the thought of ruling everything there was to rule. Everyone would have rainbow hair, tattoos and it would be her utopia. "With my ability to control the populace, Colt's temporal perception and your ability to read enemy movements... who could stop us, who would stop us? Not our family, not our father's disgusting minions, not Null... nobody could stand against the three of us."

"Okay. Okay, I'll humor you..." Alistair stared at her. "Let's say this laughing mad plan for taking over this mud ball actually gets some traction. How exactly are you going to fight off father and our two siblings? Daddy aside, Pandora's too crafty, and we both know that you and I can't fight Michael without risking our necks."

Kat smiled at this, now she was getting somewhere with him. "Our dear wolfish brother is the answer to that." She said bluntly. "See as far as he knows, if he doesn't stop them... the world will end. And the funny thing is that I don't even have to lie to him to stop him. He and Null will work with us to stop our father and siblings from bringing about the end of the world. All three of us together can take on Father and Pandora... and Colt can fight Michael to a standstill, maybe even beat him. And even if dear Colt goes down, the two of us could finish Michael off. Even if losing Colt means I lose my king, but that's a problem for another day."

"The one born of the celestial curse, thou shall lay siege under the affliction's thirst; The one who was raised by voices now silent, the result of a disease turned merciless and violent; cut by the blood of faces above, to be struck down by a brooding dove; Thou shall not live past it's rebirth, should such a power rival the child of the earth." Metzli recited with a deep brooding glare set upon her features. "I don't understand it.. This is killing me," she nearly growled.

"Mhm... and from what I hear, you want creation," Alistair almost chuckled at it. "How exactly do you plan to rip that from the Emissary?"

--

Aya listened to Metzli recite it, and narrowed her eyes. She'd read something about it... something dealing with the Harbingers that had tangentially mentioned a curse. "Wait... wait!" She went over to the book, sifting through it. "It's in here somewhere. I know it is."

Colt raised an eyebrow as he looked at Metz. Something about the words she had used... something about them struck him, but he couldn't place it. "I have no idea why that sounds so familiar to me, but it does."

"The same way I plan to rip the world from the current powers that be. Fire, blood and a quite a bit of trickery." Kat said with a predatory smile.

"I..I can't get up, my muscles won't work." Metzli grumbled, though mostly to herself as she kept her voice soft. After multiple futile attempts to get up, she slumped against the wall once more. "I need to learn how to read it, and fast. Whatever it is, it can't be good." She spoke a bit louder, though her tone was still low with anger.

"You think that's enough? You think that fire and blood is enough; forget your trickery... you're playing with the powers that be, here!" Alistair shook his head. "It's mental. You're mental."

Then, he sighed. "... two weeks from now, father will be mounting an attack on the mayoral campaign rally. At the top of a skyscraper, he has already let loose something. Something powerful... Helios, the Emissary of Flames. I don't know what he plans to do with it, but that should be your first stop."

--

"I found it!" Aya stated. She found the information much quicker than she normal would have. "The Helios Curse was set on the Helios family a long time ago... by something called an 'Emissary'. The Emissary went by the same name as the people it cursed..."

"You're either with me or against me. This world and everything else will be mine." Kat made this her final word on the matter before standing up and switching back to English. "Thank you brother. In two weeks my father and his minions will be attacking the mayoral campaign rally. At the top of a skyscraper nearby he has already let loose Helios, the Emissary of Flame." She didn't look at Rose. "Whatever he plans... there will be a lot of fire, a lot of blood and untold numbers of people will die." She announced before sweeping out of the room.

"Helios the Emissary..." The words felt like ash on Colt's tongue. "I do not like the sound of that."

She visibly stiffened upon hearing this. "Where...did you find it?" She narrowed her eyes, staring over at Aya. The brooding look remained, as if she were studying the other girl.

"Mom..." she muttered, tearing her gaze away from the Riftwalker. She felt like she was about to cry, but managed to hold it in somehow. A few tears had escaped her eyes, rolling down her darkened tan skin.

In a second, Aya came back to Metzli's side. "Metz... Metz, it's okay..." She hugged the girl close, despite any protests she might hear. "I promise... I promise we'll figure something out. We will..."

Aya's eyebrows furrowed, resting her chin on top of Metzli's head.

Rose stared at Kat for a moment before turning to walk out of the prison cell. After the door closed, Alistair lowered his head to fall back asleep.
