If she had her strength, she would've fought off Aya to be alone. Be it her current state of paralysis, she couldn't, so she just continued to quietly sob into Aya for what felt like an eternity.

"Mom...left me all alone.." she sniffled, continuing to cry. "I didn't want to watch.." To Aya, the statement would have made no sense. She was talking about her mother's gruesome death at the hands - or, rather the tools - of her father. "Everyone's gone.. Everyone's dead.. isn't it my fault..?"

Minam wanted to retort to Pandora's remark, yet he couldn't find a proper way to defend himself, knowing that she was right in the end. As thus he simply nodded his head before getting up from the crate and beginning to run into the ship.

Seeing Kalus break through the fusion was enough to cause Lucky to run back, his coin in his hand as he threw it up once more. "Will I be able to survive if I get attacked by that guy?" he asked, getting a heads. "Fuck!" he grunted as he tried his best to hide among the crates.

Upon seeing Kalus Spike turned away from Nicol, who was panting not too far away from him. The man smirked at the teenager for a moment before a blast of wind his way, one that Nicol was barely able to avoid as Spike fired a barrage of tornadoes towards Kalus.

Adam gritted his teeth in frustration. "So you've got freaking Harbringers now to?"

"It's prove I'm going big in the world wouldn't you say?" Kane wondered, a slight smirk on his face as he stared at the shadow user, noticing that King had made his way back to Adam.

"Guess we'll have to fuse again," Adam muttered towards King, who simply stared at him in shock. "What? we can last a minute now and we were able to hold off that girl before. All I have to do is take down Kane and that girl in a minute."

"Are you stupid!" King roared at Adam, his eyes glaring at his comrade. "That'll tear you to pieces, plus it's stupid for you to try to shoulder so much on your own anyways."

"You just listen to me," Adam barked, eyes glaring at the lion. "I have a bone to pick with both of these guy so I'll do things as I see fit."

Kathy felt a wounding pain wash over her right arm as she was hit by the bullet, causing the girl to push herself forward and grab for her arm as she turned towards the captain of the ship. "Asshole," she groaned before taking out another grenade from her pocket dimension and throwing it at the ones she had set up on the floor, getting farther into the cargo room as she began to try and suck more of the cargo, though this time her wound was making it hard for her to focus as well.

Marissa was unable to move from the pain in her head, hand over her right eye as though she was trying to maintain control over something.

"Well don't you know how to charm a lady. Maybe you can teach the boys back home something," she said taking his hand. "Unfortunately I'm not here for a night of flattery. I'm here because we both have things the other wants. Well outside of lovely company."

"Are you so sure?" Ripred asked. "If I am to recall, what you wanted from me was rather substantial," he turned slowly, starting to dance with her.

--

Aya didn't know what to say to Metzli. Instead, she opted to hug the girl closer. Letting out a sigh, she turned to Colt, motioning for him to come over to her.

--

Pandora raised her head, looking toward the ship. "Looks like your friend is dying in there," she said nonchalantly. "That sucks."

When Lucky leaped behind a crate, Nero appeared behind him, making to stab at him with a knife.

Fuehrer merely chuckled at this. "My dear Riprid. I have me which is easily equal to what I want. Especially since you have no idea of the limits of the riftborne, which is exactly what your brother is. And he just so happens to be part of my motley crew right now. Assuming he sticks. However from what I hear, he's starting to shift, a shift that we need. One that just needs a. Little. Push."

In doing so, Aya had applied pressure to the burns, causing Metzli to flinch out of pain. Shutting her teary eyes, the teenager buried her face in the older girl's shoulder.

Colt nodded, coming over to the two girls and kneeling down next to them. "We'll find a way to help you." He promised Metz quietly as he thought their situation over. It wasn't great, but he'd dealt with worse. He'd overcome, just like he always had.

"Tell me, Colt. What will you do when you can't?" Her voice was muffled, though the dread was equally present in her tone. She hated having to rely on others to find out personal information, when she would've been fully capable of it herself. Of course, she didn't say it aloud. Metzli didn't want to let go of Aya for the moment.

"I'm not the type to believe in can't." Colt said quietly. "There's will and there is will not. And I will." He vowed. "You're part of our little family now, which means I'll take care of you. That is my promise."

"What kind of cross do you bear, Colt?" She managed to lift her head, eyes flickering open to the other Riftwalker. When she had heard him mention 'family', her tear ducts gave was to more emotions. The feeling was strong, and it was causing the younger girl too much sadness for her to handle.

"And what makes you believe that I want to know anything about my younger brother?" Ripred asked, his expression not changing.

--

Aya sighed a bit. "This... this is going to be a rough ride. But we'll get through it."

"How adorable. Trying to play the fool. You forced him to be him. Being uninterested is not the your cup of tea. We are a bit more resourceful than you think," she replied back, smirk never leaving her face.

Colt sighed. "Besides not remembering anything from my past... being destined to bring about the end of all life on Earth... having been created for that express purpose." He mused. "That's my cross to bear, trying to not give into that destiny."

Metzli gave a smile, though it was faint. You could see the sadness and irony in the expression as she sighed.

"I can't run away from my own destiny. It's already been set in stone." She sunk down, slithering out of Aya's embrace as she staggered to her feet. "I need to decipher it.. I need to find it. The Physician's Cure..." With that, she stumbled on uneven footing to the plethora of books.

Colt sighed again as he went back over to the books. "Then let's see what he can find." He said quietly. "We can find this cure."

Another soft sigh escaped her mouth as she glanced over the piles. "It's in that language. Elysian, I think." She spoke up, thumbing through a few ancient-looking tomes. After several minutes, she set her gaze upon a dark-looking grimoire called the Book of Shadows. It was a dark, deer-skin color with a wicked, ghoulish face set upon the front. It's eyes seemed to glow a dilute red, staring down whoever read from it's yellowed pages. Once she had opened to the index, she saw a mixture of French, German, and Italian writing that made it increasingly difficult to read. In the footnotes were Japanese scrawls, nearly illegible.

"The Book of Shadows.. I've heard of it before." She mumbled aloud.

Colt glanced down at the book in question. He glared at it, he didn't like the aura the book was giving off. "Nasty piece of work that is." He thought out loud. "Nice cover too."

Aya watched the two of them look over the grimoire. This, however, wasn't her domain. Leaving the two of them to their devices, she moved her books over to another part of the table. She put a bookmark - just a folded sheet of paper - into the book of electromagnetism and opened up the books to find more information on the Harbingers.

Looking over the diaries and books, she ran her hand through her hair. Her hair that seemed to have grown a bit. "Okay... Enochian Runes... Elysian... Sigils..."

She read more about the sigils on the sigils, and continued combing through its descriptions. "A series of small, incremental runic combinations that bring out a desired process... sounds a lot like math."

Then, she blinked. "It is like math. It is..." Then, she started flipping through the pages quickly. "Just like mathematical formulas. So... it can be reversed, right? Manipulated to get another output?" She was mostly mumbling to herself, but she was loud enough to be heard.

--

"See, the thing is that I am disinterested, my dear," Ripred turned, moving to the beat of the soft music playing. "You're a very intelligent person; you of all people should know exactly how much information I have. And how much, and how quickly, I could find out on my own."

He let out a smirk of his own. "And I know for a fact that you don't need me, either; you will have, at some point, raised your own army. This is simply a way for us to gain our traction much more quickly."

--

Inside of Robin's head, a voice would begin speaking to her. It was muffled, but very much there.

"Hel... Hel..."

Lucky was barely able to avoid the stab, which still slashed at his side, causing him to step back and clutch his wound. He quickly regained his composure and charged at Nero, knowing that he had to take his chance before he hid away once more. With that he spun around and jumped in the air, throwing a kick at the man.

Robin's thrashes slowed to a stop while she slowly processed what she had heard. Her eyes widened in fear and her face paled considerably more while her breathing began to esculate.

"No. No, no, no, no, no!" The volume of her hoarse voice rose with each no, and before you knew it she was yelling and vigorously thrashing in her restraints even more than before, trying to escape from the voice.

"It's back! It's back, it's back, it's back and talking to me!" She screamed, crying wolf.

"Please, sedate me into oblivion! Sedate me, sedate me, sedate me, please! If you want to help me then sedate me, god dammit!" She begged them, the urgency laced clearly into her voice.

"Help me! Help me! Get out of my head! Get out, get out, get out, GET OUT! Please, you teenage-mutant-ninja-turtle-hel-freak!" She hollowed, once again returning to her chant that consisted of killing her and escaping.

Tiny tears appeared at the corner of her eyes in frustration and her chest heaved in and out at a fast pace.
