"Just saying here, it's better then shooting him and seeing how he reacts." Robin pointed out, referring to Colt. "More civil and less likely to end in a bloody mess on the floor."
Aya kept reading down the dossier. "Says here that he doesn't arm himself. He fights only using his power..." she looked at his values posted in the dossier. His control and power output were pretty high. "That's gonna have to change at some point,"she disliked overspecialization more than anything else. No matter how good you were at something, it was best to branch out just in case your best tactics were useless.
Still, it was impressive. "Some of the highest O/C values I've seen in a while."
"It doesn't say. It's blank," Aya replied to Robin. "Guess it's a surprise until we land."

The jet landed about three hours later. The sun was high in the air considering that the group had left early enough to make it by the early afternoon. When they were let off, their luggage was taken by car to the hotel they would be staying in for the duration of their trip.
Now, they stood in the middle of the streets of Venice, Italy. Aya took the time to take in the sights of the city. It was a beautiful place, just as she'd remembered from her childhood. "Never ceases to amaze me..." she said to herself.
Venice had undergone some changes over the years. While it was still a very peaceful coastal city, the technological advances that their various imports introduced were very noticeable. Even in a traditional city like this, the current times were never forgotten.
They were here on this street to meet their recruit. He wasn't that easy to miss, considering the men in black suits standing by the walls; obviously Null investigators.
Aya nodded to the group before pointing toward Jett and the men. She walked toward the them, the group earning a salute from the two men. "Void Response Corps," they both said in unison. @Infinity Storm;
Jett turned to look at the approaching group, sighing at the responses of the two men as he examined his soon-to-be teammates. Walking past the two Null investigators, Jett quickly said "I tried to tell them I was fine on my own, but they insisted on following protocol. You'd think they would at least listen, considering the reason for my transfer. Anyways, I'd introduce myself, but I doubt that's necessary. You've probably already been told all of the important information about me."
Adam whistled silently, looking around the sights while following after Aya. "I've never been to Venice before, it looks pretty awesome," he pointed out in amazement, pocketing his hands. 'I assume we'll get some time to explore the place."
"I wonder how it is to go around on the gondolas?" Nicol asked curiously, looking towards the water pathways close by.
Adam looked at Jett, raising an eyebrow before letting out a scoff. "I don't give a damn newbie, you really think I would give a shit about reading your files."
Aya looked back at Adam. "Adam," she chastised, before turning to Jett.
"Agent-Captain Nascire," she said in response to him. "Leader of the Void Response Corps. And it's considered common courtesy to at least introduce yourself, Agent Hurland. Learn that."
Aya glared back at Adam. "Shut it. Why can't you be more like Nick, honestly," she shook her head. She had only meant to give Jett a bit of advice, not insult him.
Jett nodded at Nicol, saying "Likewise" before he returned his attention to the captain. Choosing his words carefully, he quickly replied, leaning back against the wall as he spoke.
"I'm sorry if I offended you Captain. To be fair though, I've been stuck in this heat for hours with two completely unnecessary bodyguards, who I might add,are awful at idle conversation. So, please forgive me if I came off as a bit irritated. I'm sure you understand, given the nature of my abilities."
"No offense taken," she said, waving her hand a bit. "You can be informal with me. Trust me," she said, looking to the men, before going back to him. "As for your abilities... those were withheld from the document, believe it or not. I'd like to know it."
"Really? Wow....I'm a bit surprised to be honest" Jett remarked, silently thankful that he'd managed to recover from the lackluster first impression he seemed to have made. Stepping forward from the wall, he walked towards Aya, removing his gloved hands from his pockets as he approached. As much of a showoff as he was, he didn't want to be reprimanded for alerting a mass of civilians. So, rather than actually use his power, he simply took one of his gloves off for a moment, revealing the extremely pale, icy hand underneath.
"I call it Chilled Constructs. I can create ice by freezing water vapor in the air around me, or drain water from my own body to give myself a bit more control on what I can do with it. As long as water isn't scarce, the applications of my abilities are only limited by my own creativity."
"All we know is that you rely on it a lot," Adam pointed out, crossing his arms as he looked at Jett showing them his ability. "Seems like the ice version of my power."
Colt had slipped away from the group for a few minutes, sliding into an antique bookshop that he had been to in the past. A quick word with the elderly lady behind the counter and a few hundred Euro later, he emerged from the store with an old leather bound book under his arm, his hand hiding the title from view. It didn't take him long to sniff out his friends and he noticed the new arrival. He merely listened for a moment, hearing the remarks about the over-reliance on powers. "That's because you boys haven't learned the value of a good blade." He announced his presence. "Agent Hurland, or should I call you Captain Cold. You'll be learning how to shoot and how to wield a blade. I don't know how they did things in your previous gig here, but down in the trenches it can get ugly. And a nifty power is not always enough."
"Wow, this place is amazing - mamma mia!" Robin exclaimed, looking around. She decided to introduce herself to Jett after his power demonstration.
"Hi, I'm Robin - nice to meet you, sir. You've got a cool power." She said, her voice full of awe - she was a bit of a nerd when it came to different types of powers. "No pun intended."
She turned around to see Colt. "Hey Colt, where have you been? And what's that?" She asked him, spying the book.
"What did you buy osome old book for man," Adam commented, also noticing the book that Colt was holding.
"He is right about using weapons though," Nicol stated in agreement, remembering how he had had to fend off the death children without his powers in the last mission.
"So they included that in my report but not my power. Somebody definitely slipped up" Jett muttered, putting his glove back on before looking over at Colt, eyeing the book under his arm while the others remarked on his battle style. After they'd all finished , he quickly replied, a hint of irritation audible in his voice.
"The reason I don't use weapons is simple. Using a conventional weapon is a fundamentally flawed system. No matter how skilled someone is with wielding a weapon, there is still the potential for failure due to the weapon's inability to match the skill. Blades loose their edge. Guns can jam and misfire. With my power, I am effectively my own weapon. If I mess up, I want it to be my own fault, something I'd learn from."
