Getting approval, Robin full-on dashed to the villa, not looking back when she successfully threw her gelato cup in the bin from a distance and got it in. Or Nicol.

Jett was now standing barefoot on his platform of ice, creating several others as he leapt from cube to cube, nearly slipping and losing his balance when he heard the others return . Shakily steadying himself, he snapped a finger, causing the ice platform he was standing on to extend itself upward, allowing him to sit as he admired his handiwork.

"I'm in a hurry," Alistair said, crossing his arms.

The other line picked up after a few rings. Ripred's voice came the other end. "Hello, Kane."

--

The creature sent a final attack down on the girl, screeching as it did. It was trying to use the shockwave to distract her while the attack went toward her.

Sayloren was surprised at how fast the girl was. Her reaction time was amazing.

"Hey there, sorry for the sudden call," Kane greeted him normally, looking towards Alistair for a moment. "I have Alistair here saying he wants to speak with you."

Gritting her teeth, the teenager launched herself into the air to avoid the shockwave. Upon hitting the ground, she rolled out of the way, managing to get grazed by the attack. She rushed at the creature, circling back to try and slash at its spine. Once she had executed the attack, the spirit took a few paces backwards. She probably couldn't keep this up for too long; her heavy breathing signified that the ghost was slowly beginning to tire out.

"Well, that is indeed a surprise," Ripred said. "Put me on speaker so that I can talk to him."

Two days had gone by, with the group finally having to go to their meeting. What they found was that their trip would take them away from Venice to another location near Italy. The location could best be described as near Rome, but not within the city itself. Their luggage had been put onto the jet, stored away for them.

The jet landed smoothly enough, allowing them to get out. Aya stepped out, looking forward at the large building ahead. The European sect of Void Research. She looked down at herself, making sure that her clothing was in order. She'd specifically told the group to wear something nice for this event. For her, it was a white blouse and black pants. On her arm was a band with Null's insignia on it - one of the mandatory things that needed to be worn by all of the group to get into the building.

She turned back to the group. "Alright. Here are the rules before you guys go in," she started to list the general rules of going through the place. "No running off without permission, no drawing weapons unless it's an emergency. From what I hear, they're more stringent about things here, so resist being a smartass," she said, looking directly at Adam. She was about to end it there, but continued. "Unless they disrespect you directly. Then remind them who exactly keeps these nerds alive." She said with a small smirk.

"So we are allowed to call them nerds. Good," Adam joked with a slight smirk.

"Understood Aya," Nicol said, saluting the woman respectfully.

Sky had chosen to wear a military-style jacket over a long sleeved beige-colored blouse, along with some nice dark gray jeans. Her wardrobe was nice enough for the event - otherwise, she would've been a little more careless over her attire. She tried her best to focus on what her sister was telling everyone, but she couldn't help but become sidetracked with the well-being of her non-corporeal friend. Noticing that Aya had finished her explanation of the rules, she gave a nod of understanding.

Colt nodded as well. He wore a slate colored three piece suit with a dark red tie. His armband was subtle and while Aya warned them that weapons were not to be used, he was still armed to the teeth.

His sword was on his back, his normal pistols on his hips. On quick draw shoulder holsters under his jacket were Patton's revolvers.

He was smiling an easy going smile as he walked alongside Aya. Since their engagement, he had been happier than ever and the pair were inseparable.

Jett silently followed the group. Calm missions weren't exactly normal for him, so this would definitely be an interesting change of pace. He was wearing a pale blue polo shirt, covered by his usual coat. His new katana was hidden underneath his coat, though he wasn't terribly confident in his abilities with the blade just yet. As usual, his hands were hidden by his black gloves, and Jett was able to draw some comfort from his ability to create weapons more to his taste.

When the group approached the compound, a woman greeted them. She was a tall, librarian-like, with her blonde hair fashioned into a bun, glasses on her face, and donned in a two piece white suit. "Welcome," she greeted the Riftwalkers. "We've been expecting you." Her English held a bit of a French accent. "I am Dr. Lena Valclaine. I will be your overseer for today's meeting."

"I am Captain Ayana Nascire of the Void Response Corps, North America division of Null," she said.

Lena looked to the rest of the group, waiting for them to introduce themselves.

--

The creature moved away from the girl, swinging its arm back to take advantage of her fatigue. After it executed its attack, it swung again, starting to pick up the pace and attack her over and over.

"Agent Skyress Nascire," Sky introduced herself, seeing no point in repeating what division they were all from.

"Just call me Colt." He said with a smile. He didn't need a title or a role or even a last name.

"Agent Jett Hurland" Jett quietly muttered as he followed suit, quickly introducing himself as well.

'Agent Adam Noir," Adam greeted politely, looking at the woman carefully.

"I'm Agent Nicol," Nicol said, trying to calm his nerves down as he wanted to make a good impression.

Valclaine nodded to the group, turning to begin walking up the stairs. Aya followed after her. "Well Agents, I will take you to see our team. There are a number of scientists here you wish to speak to you about different things."

When the group walked up the stairs, they were greeted by a number of researchers standing around. The inside of the compound was filled with various types of technologies, machines and many kinds of scientists scrambling. It was much bigger than the Null laboratories in America.

"Wow," Aya said. "Huge."

Valclaine responded without turning around. "Of course, these labs are required to be of this size due to the nature of our research."

Colt raised an eyebrow. "Nature of your research?" He asked quietly. He was curious as to what they could be researching that would take such a massive facility.

"My guess is that it could be void creatures by the size of this," Adam whispered to Colt silently as they walked.

Valclaine nodded. "Correct. We study the process of void creatures and all things void-related," the group walked past a number of research labs. They were largely mundane; various workstations with scientists typing away furiously on their keyboards. "We'll be meeting the head of these laboratories soon; he's just ahead."

Aya looked forward, seeing a group of scientists standing near one another. They seemed to be engrossed in their conversation.

Indeed, he was ahead. A tall, stony-faced man donned in a white labcoat turned his attention to the Riftwalkers. He had dark skin, almost a shade of mocha - jet black hair, as well. Perhaps, most unsettling of all, was his eyes. One burned a bright golden color, and the other a darkened, cold silver. His nametag read 'Dr. Splinter Cacciola'. His complexion was narrow, cold, and professional. Splinter gave a curt wave to the group, taking a second or so to study each individual.

"As you can guess, I am the head scientist here, my name is Splinter Cacciola. It is a pleasure to meet you all."
