Official Pre-Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield Speculation & Leaks thread

Not really, there were like three leaks that look fake,
"Look fake?" Bro, those leaks were totally fake. Especially the latest one that said that the 2019 pokemon game was centered around emotion and had a lot to do with love or whatever. Unless you're applying to the mega evolution leak as well? That one might be real.

Other than that...Yeah, I agree with you. Nothing much has come out about Let's Go Eevee or Let's Go Pikachu and nothing has come out for the Gen 8 games. I guess you can say we're in a "dead period" as far as news goes. Although, we're supposed to have some news pertaining to Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu at Pokemon Worlds, but I don't know how accurate that is.

They pretty much always reveal something at Worlds, even if it's not very interesting at all (last year was Kommo-o's Z move)

Yeah. They've revealed something at Worlds every year since 2013. In 2013, they revealed Mega Kangaskhan. In 2014, they revealed Mega Slowbro. In 2015, they revealed the Wii U port of Pokken Tournament. In 2016, they revealed Crabrawler. In 2017, they revealed Kommo-o's Z-Move.

I know, but I didn't want to be that direct, specially since I already dissected those leaks.

Fair enough.

Interesting. So...chances are high that they'll reveal the new pokemon this time around? Also, what is the date for Pokemon Worlds?

It'd be a good time to reveal new megas if they were in the game too tbh
Honestly, I don't think LGPE is the best time to reveal new Megas. The aspects of a Mega consist of:
  • New design
  • New typing (sometimes)
  • New ability
  • New stats
  • Accompanying Mega Stone
But, in LGPE, we don't have abilities or held items, and stats are switched for CP. That means only new designs would be able to be showcased, and new typing if a Pokemon got one.

Stats were not replaced by CP, TechSkylander1518.

About the other things, I guess they could mention what's the Mega Stone in the description, same with abilities unless it's something new/unexpected.

Oh, that's good to hear!

That reminds me I made a mistake with my point on Mega Stones, too-they're not held, but they are still in the bag.

I don't think announcing abilities would be very practical, though-they're not gonna be in the game, so mentioning them in LGPE's advertisements would seem like pointing fans towards the next games.

I think that CP will be in the 2019 game in order for there to be compatibility with Let's Go.
CP is already there, but as far as I know, you only see it when catching Pokémon. In other words, CP is useless in that game.
I hope Natures get done with.
I doubt they will get rid of natures since that was one of the things that the Let's Go people decided to keep.

If LGPE still has standard stats, I can't imagine the game that's supposed to be more complicated would ditch them. CP might just translate into IVs when transferring.
