True but doesn't a gorilla seem to safe. I mean one of the things that people like to talk about when it comes to the starter is that there always seems to be a twist to their design that while fitting in with what was established people didn't seem coming and the grorilla just seems to lack that twist.
That's the twist.

I mean, the starters still really just become bigger animals when they evolve, so a gorilla as the base makes perfect sense? I don't think there's anything really wrong with that choice. It's the costume that they put on said gorilla that needs the "unexpected twist."

You know this may just be me but I have to wonder why are all the Grookey evolution art rumors always look masculine. I mean you would expect some of these to look feminine if only to try and make use of the Feminine, Cool, Beastly starter trio pattern theory.
GF doesn't really force starters to be feminine. Outside of Meganium and Primarina, there are no really feminine final starters, even with Delphox. Although Delphox's pre-evo Braixen is very feminine, Delphox itself is gender neutral in appearance.

i think that there is still a chance for your starter pokemon lines to follow you. we still havent seen them in actual game play yet. I would be perfectly fine with that and would be kinda nice.

There's also a fence in front of that field, though, so I don't care how frustrated some idiot would be trying to fly over it- it's obvious that you're not supposed to. Do you typically see a fence around a field and think to yourself "Hey, I'm gonna jump over that and run across, there is clearly no moral issue with this plan."? Your pokemon knows that's a no-fly zone.

Plus we all can't be that used to open world games now that we get that frustrated by invisible walls. XD
In real life, not usually, but in games I do all the time. I'm usually not expecting to actually get somewhere, but I do always try. When I was younger I was pretty disappointed, though, when playing a game where my character could definitely jump over something and got stopped by a wall I couldn't see, even if I figured I would be. No matter how closed or open the game is, if it looks like there's a chance, then I'm gonna try. I don't think that would/should mean that riding pokemon couldn't be in the game, though, and like you said, the no-fly zones are usually pretty obvious. Doesn't stop me from trying, but I don't usually mind when I can't. Plus, we get some good jokes out of that kinda thing, too ("look at me jump double this fence's height but not be able to go over!"), so I'm pretty down for it.

Because they're trying to give us a gorilla, I assume, and that's easier to make look more masculine than feminine.

...and now that you've mentioned it, I appreciate these brutish Grookey art all the more because I don't think I really wanna see someone try to come up with a forced feminine design for Grookey, at risk of them making it look like it belongs off the safe search with Gardevoir and Lopunny.
Rip me trying that pattern earlier ;u; I totally agree with keeping Grookey's final evo out of the Gardevoir and Lopunny club, but I hope that they don't go with a gorilla specifically. I might just be done with gorillas thanks to drawing oranguru a whole bunch, but I kinda just want some other types of primates to get some more prominent designs in. Kinda thinking a gorilla is likely, though, and while I may not be on board, I don't mind that much if it ends up being one. Just a preference for other primates, like a gibbon of some sort.

Yet I have yet to hear a male voiced Delphox, and only one man had a Delphox, which again sounds like a girl.

There are certain mountains in the game that prevents you from climbing further, they are located on the borders of the map.

I know that, I mean there are literally invisible walls on many areas, I don't understand what do you mean by that. Because they are different examples, one example is a huge open world game where you getting at the very end of the map, where doesn't have anything. And with SwSh we were talking about some of the first routes, on the center of the map, where also even exist something to inspect. I mean, LGPE isn't infinite either (LGPE is not even an open world, and yet the mechanic worked).

I pretty much knew that even though I never actually played the game.

By the same logic, Fletching should be considered a feminine Pokemon. It's voiced by a woman, and only two male trainers are shown owning it, so it's feminine.
